  1. I try to tell people there are gremlins in these files and no one believes. Like with my mod. I took the snow off of the mage statues. On the pc, in game, the snow is gone. On the laptop, in game, the snow is still there, and the funny part about it is I cannot upload to steam for updating the mod because of this error 37. On top of that, things in the mod keep changing. One can do something, save it, close out of the ck, go have supper, come back and what you did in the ck is fine, but something else is wrong and has changed. And it is just this mod. I tried starting another one, and it is fine, and I can upload it to steam to update it with no problem. Gremlins !!
  2. Okay. So I have mod that I am working on in the ck, I save it often, and occasionally make a copy to a separate file, just in case. Then I work on the mod in the ck, and save it, and go to upload it so that the mod updates, and after about 4 or 5 minutes I get a message that says something like Steam error 37 failed to upload, and cannot upload it, or update it. I can go into the ck, I can work on, change it, delete stuff, add stuff, save it, but cannot upload it for this error 37. What is causing this?? I have wiped the pc down to factory mode, re-installed everything, and still I get an error 37. Also, I can load the mod up on the laptop, and do the coc thing, and see things that are changed, even though I cannot upload the mod to update it. I do the coc thing on the pc, and the mod does not change, or some of it will change, and other stuff gets messed up. The mod may not be corrupted, but there sure is a gremlin in it !! lol So what causes this?? Is there some error or something I did??
  3. Thank you ladyonthemoon. I wished I knew that at 5am this morning when I re-did my pc to factory. lol I did save all of my files, but now the mod is probably corrupted. I did save the page link you gave. Thanks again.
  4. I have a question please. What is an error 37?? I save the mod in the ck, and then click to upload it so that it updates the mod. Everytime I do, I get this steam error 37. What did I do wrong??

  6. I found an older file, re-added stuff, and I am almost ready to start on the interior NevMesh. Good thing I make saves every so often. Thanks for the offer to check it out.
  7. Understand that. But the file does not show up in the list in the Cell View. At all. I can go to where you click on Skyrim, click on the mod, and set it as the active file, and the CK loads. But it does not show up in the cell view in the bottom left hand corner after you do all that and it loads. It is nowhere to be found.
  8. It seems that I lost the file. It is loaded via Steam, it is in the mod list, but it is not in the CK. There is an esp file and that is it. No bsa file, just the esp. When I look into the Cell View it is not in the list. I will start over. Besides, practice makes perfect.
  9. Okay. I will work it this weekend. Classes started for me at the college and I have to do homework first, then "play and design" later. Hope that made sense. I will post it again when I finish it.
  10. I did as you suggested, and went into Tes5Edit. There I deleted all the planter guys, which in turn also deleted the utility cell they were in. I re-tested the game and the planter guy is now gone. Whew !! Glad of that. I am in the process of re-doing that cell and re-adding the 48 planter guys for the planter boxes and soil. Thank you very much for all the help you have given. DarkRider has been extremely busy, and I guess I got left behind on the lesson checking.
  11. Thank you for the info. The guy is for planting ingredients, and the tutorial said I needed to have a different guy for each plot of soil. And each plot of soil has to match the guy. Example. soil activator01 goes with planter npc 01, soil activator02 goes with planter npc02, etc. The tutorial also said that all these guys can be in one cell, tied in but separate from the mod. A utility room so to speak. I have 48 plots that can be planted and so there are 48 soil activators and 48 planter guys. I did not know about testing with a different character each time. I have now learned a valuable lesson. Thank you.
  12. This is a real situation, even if seems very funny, which it is. I have this house mod I am making, and it is almost ready for publish. I have put in planters, with a separate cell that has 48 "planter guys" in it. All of them have different code numbers that I made using a new "card" each time. I am also a newbie to modding and this is my first mod. I am also in the classes that DarkRider has, although he is so busy that I just went on. I did the same with the soil by giving each soil a different name so that one soil was with one planter guy. It seems as though I now have this planter guy who fast travels with me and is worse than a shadow. I have looked in all my files and found none of the planter guys that were used twice, and even went so far as to enclose the guys in a room in case one was slipping out through the floor. No help. The guys are in there own little cell, separate from the other cells, and are not attached by any portals. I am about ready to delete all the guys, all the planters, all the soil and start over again. Is there any way to get rid of the planter guy who for some reason escaped?? When I am in the CK I cannot find him on the outside, where he shows up first, cannot find him on the inside, and there are no extra planter guys in their cell, and they are all accounted for. Hope that all made sense. Any ideas anyone on how to get rid of him??
  13. First, I do not like the camera. It is waaaay to sensitive. Here is the rest of my homework for Lesson #2. The extra credit was already included in the above posts, #33 and #38 EDIT :In case anyone did not notice, I have turned in all the work required for lesson #2. Is is good enough to go on to Lesson #3??
  14. An update to my homework, which includes the extra credit. The food from ingredient is in an earlier picture, plus one of the pictures below. This is a continuation that goes with post #33 that I made earlier. Customized_container_with_Daedric_Sword Added_Door_to_front Complete_set_of_books_to_the_bookshelf Added_more_light Customized Container one and two Container_one_and_two_that_are_customized Contents_of_container_two I am not done yet, and have to finish with the clutter, make one more chest, and the NavMesh. Do you also want us to do the Lesson 2 supplemental??

  17. I did it !! I am so proud of myself !! This is not all of lesson 2, but I am turning in what I have so far, because if it decides to go crazy, at least you know I got this part done. I plan on doing more clutter and adding a few more things, but these were part of the lesson. I have to do the NavMesh and the special container, but have no idea how to take a picture while in the CK and then post it here.   19. Thank you mALX. I am trying but sometimes it is hard to get the game to do what I want it to do. For now I have given up on the mannequins, but what a great sorceress house that would be with the kind of mannequins you mentioned. lol It would fit right in. In the meantime I am still trying to get the havocs right. I almost got it, but not quite. I may be a little slow at this modding stuff, but I am sure glad I am learning it. I hope to at least get to the last lesson before my classes start again. Yet I am enjoying it all. Making a mod also gives insight into the game itself. I have been through a lot of house mods, and there are only 3 or 4 that come really close to what I look for in a house, but I sure got a lot of ideas from those houses. We will see how it comes out.
  20. Thanks again mALX !! Like I told DarkRider, I will double check everything to make sure I checked the bock for Don't Havoc Settle. I did not know about the F key, I probably missed that. I really want to make a sorceress house for the final to be published, but I do not know how it will turn out. I read in the help section of the CK bout the mannequins, and then was reading some thread or post notes on a mod, that said something about mannequins will not activate when ........something about the north, facing north, or being on the north wall. Anyway, right now I will not worry about that until I get ready to publish it. Finding the items I want to put in are just as hard as placing stuff just right. lol Tomorrow when I get back into it I will write down the number(s) you mentioned and take notes on the x an y axis that you also mentioned. Boy do I have a lot to learn !!
  21. Thank you for the info. Next time I get into it I will double check everything. When I first put the knives on the table, they sank in to the table anda I had a hard time getting them above the table without highlighting the table itself. I will double check and make sure things are just a hair above and that the books are at a 90 degree. All I have left to do is the container and the navmesh. I still cannot get the mannequins to activate. Could it be they are on the wrong wall?? Something about being on a north wall??

  23. I am having a bit of a problem with the havoc. I have placed clutter, and did the havoc on each item, but I am still getting stuff all over the place although all of it is not doing it. I have included some pictures taken in game.
