  1. USLEEP/USSEP?

I was okay with starting over, which I did.

I don't like vortex yet, and since I have been troubleshooting, I have installed Steam from scratch.

I haven't even bothered with NMM while troubleshooting, so I am already doing a bare bone install.

From what I read, and the fact I reinstalled Steam, it most likely isn't that.

There is a way to make the game 'refresh'/ repackage .bsa or I have to do it myself.

  2. Active batch files created and approved for HCS-SDK

    1. HCS-SDK (all versions)
    2. Disperse Elder Scrolls (all versions).
    3. Directory Mirror.
    4. Disperse Batch.
    5. Disperse Boinc.
    6. Disperse Browser Profiles.
    7. Disperse Clips.
    8. Disperse Elder Scrolls.
    9. Disperse Email Profiles.
    10. Disperse Main Drive.
    11. Disperse Private Disk.
    12. Disperse Publishing
    13. Disperse Sticky Notes.
    14. Manifest.
  3. Its not particularly sounds of Skryim (that is why I didn't list my mods having the issue).   It is some stupid random thing.

Anyways I deleted ugc folder where ALL ckm files are, resubscribed, and am checking results.

Yes, I unfortunately am on Windows 10.

My confusion is that after I deleted all .ckm and even deleted the    C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Skyrim folder (it contains plugins.txt, dlclist.txt, SteamModlist.txt)   and the launcher is still finding my list of mods.

  4. Issue: Launching Skyrim via STEAM yields, 'ckm error, packed file larger than mod, might be corrupted'.  The launcher quits examining / loading files on the load list after the error and sometimes crashes.

    Observation:  This isn't true.

I play Skyrim vanilla and mostly have no other data file load order program installed like Wrye Bash.  NMM is installed but since lousy Vortex took over I haven't messed with NMM.

I am not uninstalling 5 mods it decides it doesn't like, I want to find the correct loadlist for observation/troubleshooting.

It doesn't matter what mods it complains are corrupted, in my case 5 mods.  I can play them just fine.

With help from TESA folks, I found the %appdata%\..\local\skyrim files that look like they control loading order.

    1. Plugins.txt
    2. SteamModList.txt
    3. DLCList.txt

*loadorder.txt* is NOT in this folder as https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/583662-important-load-order-and-you/   would have you believe.

I renamed the SKYRIM folder to SKYRIM.org and launched the STEAM Skyrim game and it is STILL loading 49 items.

I don't have Wrye bash or other load programs so where is the Skyrim launcher getting the load list from?

  5. I made a program that disperses sticky notes between computers on my lan.

No matter where in the house, I just backup the current stiicky notes, then import from the sticky repository and I never skip a beat.

It can be done lol, but anyways I was just hoping that good tidbits like you fixing the graphics / porting issue would be known to the poor newbies that will go bald in a few days trying to figure it out.

  6. Nice.  I will definitely look for it!

You should try the freeware sticky note programs that aren't from Microsloth.  They can hang on your desktop, be hidden when you don't need them, allow graphics and color codes.

They are erasable and easy to manage.  Unlike standard notebooks and sticky notes.

I built a wamp server and a website that I write my tickets on how long I worked on them, what was done to my projects, and I automate my lab utilizing my own

interactive programs.  You can say I am serious about it.

The only tool I have to fight these memories is to learn 'processes' or indexed ideas thta will lead me to the next idea.  I am fairly good at problem solving.

My instincts and my notes help me stay caught up.  Thank goodness for my problem solving skills being able to see my shortcomings and stick to the 'processes' that I

have built for myself.  Not sure if its for help or for survival.

  7. Yes, I get very enthusiastic, trying to do tutorials and easily get side tracked.  My memory sucks, however, I can stare at the projects for a few hours, or few days, then it rushes back into my head and then I don't need my tutorials for a week.  Then after a week...well I have to read all over again and read all my sticky notes and my calendars to get me back on track again.   Lets just say I can't live without electricity.

I find it easy not to remember the actual content.  I index in my mind and on sticky notes what functions are available when a certain idea of mine pops in to my head.

I am essentially telling myself what to do and how to do it and where.  ( I write programmer's notes as if they were tutorials).:girl_lol:

               Example:

When messing with NPC speech,  go to this location

When messing with dialogue, no speech, go to that location

When messing with python for books, go to another location.  (yes I have actually succeeded and wrote it down).

(Obviously my kit is not open right now and I can't remember the locations).  I am a kinestetic learner and personality, so I have to have it all open in front of me

before I have a chance of succeeding.

  8. Ok.

Best way, the first one you did (exact folder structure as unpacked) and meshes in the KIT point to the same folder structure.

There is a tutorial that shows how to manually pack resources, when the finicky archiver fails.

It has been too long for me to find it quickly.  I have re arranged my Skybrary howto's (part of my 1000 projects) and I am not up to speed.

I will take a break from my projects tomorrow or the next, and if you have a PC version of your mod, that I could test with, I will get right to it.

Of course, you would have to upload meshes/textures/ 'whatever you added or changed' to a zip file, along with your .esp file.

  9. Well, if you like programming, Wing Commander, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Computer tech, or Space Exploration.....We might have somethiing in common.

I never like getting dirty, so cleaning deer......yikes.  Its one of those things in life that I observe from the distance and pray no one is going to ask me to hold the heart

while someone else cuts into it more.

Almost forgot, I am a fan of creating new content for TESA, but have no clue (not done reading and remembering).

  10. When 'pushing' the plugin to Bethesda:

    • Did you utilize the EXACT same process (update tool, etc) as you did with the other mod that you know ported correctly?
    • Did you put meshes / textures in proper folders and were they pointed to in the kit for the same folders?
    • Have you tried manually packaging your content?
