  1. Start with Creation Kit Basics in the classroom. Welcome!
  2. Ever since W3.1 came out, it was easy for me to transition to anything. I have all my 'must have' items on a different Install drive. I have my folder structure copied to my install drive, so I can create categories ONE time, and never need to again. I just extract the category folders to the NEW O.S drive and install programs to them. Easy peasy. Of course I also have a mirrored copy. So, its the same structuring for any flavor of Windows.
  3. Hey Donnato....I was re reading our posts and I started wondering if my quote: "Like it was stated above, STEAM allows you to install on different drives, but you wont get to specify what folders, just the DRIVE. " Might have seemed snarky? It was meant in the tone that I was agreeing with another poster to add value to that comment and I hope it did not come across wrong.
  4. Also, just because official support stops, it might not mean that it is all bad. Look what happened when Battlefield 2142 could not log users into their system. Within 2 years the programming community created an unofficial patch to allow users to still play certain games like that. Maybe they will be nice to keep Win 7 going as well! It doesn't seem like technology is going fast right now, so it doesn't seem like in two years that it will be 'over'.
  5. It does not completely remove phone home software....because the O.S. IS the phone home software. If your Reclaim search helps you but need more , let me know. I can help supplement anything it didn't cover. I designed a few programs to tone down the bullying and also you might want to install Ultimate Windows Tweaker from geek squad.
  6. Out of curiosity, are you keeping your old pc?
  7. I wasn't answerint the question. I just wanted to thank him for his work. So it seemed appropriate.
  8. I am not a fan of modding Oblivion, however I couldn't resist saying that was fun to look at! I like the decorations, furniture, and the "planetarium", the most. Items like this, help keep my interest in modding for TESV. I am struggling to get talent for my vision, however, this helps drive on. Thanks for this!
  9. Once you can swallow the evil that W10 is.....spyware, and FORCEWARE, it exists to be a portal for you to use their goods, services, it is NOT for the user; you are forced to serve them, since they are YOUR master....... 1. I can help you with stopping updates, they will undo your choices and most of the time they are NOT necessary. 2. You can do easy tricks to get back the choices they took from you. 3. ALL games I played so far in W10 were designed to play on W7 and even XP! Only a handful did not work, but there were tricks to fix that. 4. Any games that don't work ....you can create a VIRTUAL environment and they will run. I am not just saying that, I have done it. 5. I still run Windows 3.1! (I am restoring old games for my collection). Some people collect butterflies or stamps, I collect and restore software. 6. I always recommend ordering hardware and building the PC from scratch. Thats just me I guess. 7. Like it was stated above, STEAM allows you to install on different drives, but you wont get to specify what folders, just the DRIVE. 8. I even uninstalled the built in crap that goes with w10, like the candy game and all apps they forced, you will find alot of them CAN'T be uninstalled like the normal software. Bottom line, it's manageable. I recommend Win 7 for those that don't wan't to fuss over things, want to OWN their PC, have control, however I am guessing you want to get your money's worth and use what O.S. came with your P.C.
  10. I am a TESV modder. Well, I was one. I am trying to get back into the 'thick of it'. I am creating an automation process right now, stalling my modding time. I hope you get what you came for.
  11. You reminded me of something I forget I was going to do, this is a good read. Perhaps, just rewording your introduction to state that it is compatible with alternate menu systems such as SKYUI will make sure you don't scare off anyone who uses alternate menu systems.
  12. Did you get any help? I don't always see these posts in a timely fashion, sorry.
  13. Sorry I just came across this. I had a hard time understanding what you wanted. I am guessing you are not ACTUALLY modifying any of the vanilla structures. I am guessing you are COPYING building blocks of a vanilla building to a cell YOU created. If you are copying a vanilla room, which is okay, then it is NEVER a problem for you to structure the NEW room any way you want it to be. You are better off creating a new NAVMESH inside your inn as well. Walking into walls / doorways will never be a problem.
  14. I used the built in warehouse and copied my shelves with no issue. I even made my own warehouse so I could copy and paste bookshelves at will. They did not crash my Creation Kit. This is odd for me. My computer is at least 7 years old if not older.
  15. Version 3

Menu system to allow a user to Copy her ENTIRE dasbhoard to a backup location. Copy her project lab to a backup location (fast, since it only updates changed items and ONLY copies the lab). Copy her Phases of a project to a backup location. Create a time and date stamp of the current option, multiple times and as often as wanted. Copy a folder structure only, skipping files (data) in the folder structure (tree function). List the current source and target folders (open the folder locations for each), to allow the user to rename folders, delete folders, add content. Switch configurations to extend the life of the program. The menu allows 'flex' mode to load new swap configurations to manage more content that wasn't part of the original design. Search for creation kit, creation set, addon folder for Nexus mods. Create a marker and drop it into a directory if there are more than one instances of the creation kit, creation set, or dashboard. In general, the user uses this program to manage her projects. User can create the folders that are already in the batch program or they can create their own and edit the program to reflect the changes. Example: Search for TESV program. Example of Copy Choice Menu. User can active thumdrive detection or choose to have only mirror copies. Main menu and its detection/status. Task menu with many abilities. White lettering is for user to change to the directory in white and only work inside that folder. Choose Bstation, Alt, Flex mode. Flex option will appear in menu when it is necessary. Create a lab and in this example, create a phase.
  16. Users can download a program called Disperse Elder Scrolls The files can be extracted anywhere and the installation is quick and will not assume windows folders for its location. You choose. It will work after requirements are met Main Menu Users can select options to backup/restore a DASHBOARD they created. One example of what a DASHBOARD can look like. Users can select options to create a new Lab Project and also back it up. Choice menu (scans directory and lists users projects) Also, users can add new phases to their projects to speed up mundane tasks and 'roll back' a mod version if it gets out of hand or corrupted. Example: If the project was called 'Swindlers Mill' There could be 3 versions of development already available. The option would scan the directory, detect 3 folders were already created, then ask the user to enter a new project number after 3, or specify a new folder that does not require numbers. Flexible. Example for Swindlers Mill project folder. Example of phases being created for one project. 2. Users can use the clipboard portion for backup (assuming they use clipmate). This means that the user can backup clipmate projects if they are not using the dashboard function. 3. Multiple copies can be made using a time and date stamp to each Project Folder and also to each phase folder. 4. If stamps are not required, the user can simply UPDATE whatever is in the current lab to any folder of choice and overwrite what was previously in the destination folder. User use the 'O' option to create a stamp. Then used the 'I' option to import. In this example there is ONE stamp to choose from. The entire Elder Scrolls folder would be restored. 5. Users can also use the TREE function which will copy only FOLDERS and the icons assigned to the folder, skipping all the other files in the folders.
