  1. I believe one of the articles stated that this start was tailored specifically to the demo.
  2. Spontaneously wrote a 1,000 word essay on the history and culture of silk in the Niben. At 5am.

Nah, I just stay up real late and then sleep in the next morning.

  3. Ya'll are forgetting the Yokuda MMO, where you wash up ashore after a shipwreck.
  4. Can't tell without the options Since the door sounds pretty creepy, I'd say screaming is a safe bet. If going for lore, drums make sense because of the Doom Drum.
  5. It doesn't have to be near the border - you can be caught crossing the border, taken to be tried and executed in the nearest city, and then escape. Something central like Whiterun is still unlikely, though. I'd guess Falkreath, but thats more due to my preference for it. It could also be a location we've not heard of, of course. I don't think that the intro for Quakecon should be taken as an indication of anything, since we know that they didn't let them play the real intro. I actually quite like starting as a prisoner. Gives you as much freedom as possible. If you start off as a servant to a king, you're prevented from playing a criminal, or a foreigner, or a noble. Likewise if you're a farmer
  6. I was using it to mean his spiritual birth (putting on the mask of Ales) rather than his physical birth (out of a coconut). I've not really thought about what he did after, though I will eventually (been developing the Alessians lately). The Darmarukharavaya was created in one night in response to a list of obscure text cliches MK and I came up with as a joke. I basically tried to use as many of them in one text as I could, and then added copious amounts of references to pop culture and my own life.
  7. Back to writing/editing my graphic novel project. TES-related, expecting good things :3

Heh, if you need something written I'd be glad to try and help out. Writing is a very finicky thing, though, hence I usually leave projects sitting until I get inspiration.

This particular comic is mostly editing, though.

expect to publish? I know what you mean about writing. I had an idea for a project and it took me 7 years to pick it up again and fully develope it. What's really funny is how it evolves into something a lot different than what you began with.

Pretty sure it would be illegal for me to publish.

  8. Hm, it's technically lore, and technically a book, but also a giant in-joke that all of 5 people will understand. Minor profanity (s**t).
  9. It's 4AM and I'm arguing over the comprehensibility of TES lore.

lol, it can be hard to comprehend. At times it's confusing, at others not. Love it. :D Like the Tsaesci Creation Myth, "We ate it to become it and there are no more variations.", that is confusing. Like "Where were you when the Dragon Broke?" too. And then I can understand Vivec's teachings. Weird as they are. XD

  10. Although I don't know how Oblivion handles the weights, behavior like that is pretty standard across all games. Just a guess, but are the bottom vertexes weighed to anything else, or only the calf? It may fill them in at 100% if no other bones are present.
  11. Not really a clutter item, but lighting will do a lot for you. I'd say keep it dark and light it dramatically with the dark orange ("evil") candles to emphasize areas of interest. The darkness will also help disguise any lack of detail.
  12. It's unique to the CSE in my experience. I'd report it to ShadeMe.
  13. Yea, one more thing I've not gotten to yet

Complete with new meshes (houses, fence, overhangs) and new issues for me to fix (purple LOD, missing grass)

  16. It's advisable not to load up Tribunal until you're middling level, since the assassin's are hard to kill and their armor ruins balancing once you do kill them. You could always run outside, since Morrowind doesn't let NPCs use doors.
  17. is wanting to continue reading Bakker, despite how much Darkness That Comes Before got on my nerves.

Discussions about the book are more interesting than the books themselves. I can't resist convoluted philosophy and religious concepts manifesting as physical realities D:

  18. I'd reinstall it. Installing it before Oblivion could have messed it up.
  19. Probably because at some point down the line there's a "close program? y/n" option that your Yes to All is clicking Yes to. In short, you need to have Oblivion installed. You can't do anything without it.
  20. Cue sudden desire to play some Daggerfall.
  21. You might already have seen this, but I'm linking in case you haven't. The SoIaF wiki, and the Citadel (SoIaF's version of TIL, but perhaps even more epic). You'll be particularly interested in the concordance section, which has quotations and page numbers for all descriptions of everything. What time period will this take place? Like I said in the shouty, I love SoIaF, and you have my support all the way.
