  1. Robin Scott has posted a poll in the Mod Authors forum at Nexus. For those of us who don't have access to the forum, here's the message and the poll options he offered. Traffic should be blocked completely, with a notice informing visitors from GMod why Traffic should be allowed, but a pop-up or similar notice should inform the visitor of why we think GMod is not good I should be allowed to choose whether to block the traffic or not, this should be opt-in (so all files are open to GMod unless the author says otherwise) I should be allowed to choose whether to block the traffic or not, this should be opt-out (all files are blocked unless the author says otherwise) Nothing At this early stage, voting is overwhelmingly in favour of a complete block (option 1), but a few have chosen block with the ability to opt out (option 4).   2. Only the greaves need adjusting. I can separate out the blocks that need modifying if that will help. Don't worry, he's not a scotsman. Edit: Here's a link to a mesh with only the blocks that need editing.

  4. Putting up my hand up to ask for some Blender help once again! Neovinci has kindly allowed me to use pieces of his SG Button Armors for my Alessian armour. The problem is that they were designed for HGEC females and so they clip when used on a vanilla male body. I was hoping that some might be able to make a couple of adjustments for me. Scale the meshes to fit the vanilla male body without clipping. Lengthen the shin guards by 33% to give adequate coverage (see mockup pic below).   5. Just taking a shot in the dark here, but are all the NiTriStrips above the NiNodes in the block list? Perhaps upload the mesh to a file host somewhere so we can download it and check it out?

    Trap Problems

    Are the doors linked? I don't see any door markers in the pictures. Basically, the TG11 "Trap" is nothing but a fancy door whose exit door-marker is at the top of a shaft instead of on the floor like it usually is.
  7. While Skyrim brings video games another step closer to photo-realism, this Japanese game is trying to emulate hand-drawn anime... and the result is amazing. (Don't ask me to translate - I don't speak Japanese!)
  8. I normally use OnTriggerActor instead of OnTrigger, though specifying the Player reference should mean either should work. It's worth a shot though. Also, is the OnReset block needed?

  11. Hmmmm... I'm not sure if it's possible to give the rock a certain amount of momentum causing it to fly at the target in a scientifically-accurate parabolic arc. But something fairly close could be doable. From the top of my head: Changing one of the default magic effects to have a rock mesh as the projectile, and firing it like a ranged spell (probably the easiest, but may conflict with other mods). A static rock that is moved using a bunch of SetPos commands (may be processor intensive). Make an arrow that looks like a rock mesh and summon an invisible NPC to shoot one arrow! (NPC's rarely behave as expected.)

I chose the most appropriate choice regarding multiple endings, but if truth be told I prefer open ended games where there's plenty to do after the "ending", such as levelling up, carving out an empire, decorating a house... TES definitely falls into this category, and to a certain extent, Diablo and their clones do too.
  13. Since this thread is alive an well again, I'll contribute. "Lanceor" was one of King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table. I randomly picked a name from a list of Authurian knights when naming my 1st Edition AD&D paladin. Since then, I've been using it for medieval fantasy games whenever I've played a paladin or knight type character.
  14. Thanks so much RTC! I've checked it in-game and as far as I can see, there's no clipping and the gems, circlet and horns show up the way they're supposed to. Only one NPC will be using it, and I don't plan to make the hood playable. All I need to do now is play around with the textures. In case anyonw's wondering, the design of the hood is based on a concept painting by MK. (I've been advised that the picture isn't for general distribution, so I can't attach it here.) The horns appear to be decorative and may be covered with cloth, hence the clothing texture. Also, the is a ball above her head is a bit of a mystery... I decided that it was Nirn's equivalent of a halo and made it transparent and glowing.
  15. Basically I've cobbled together a hood in NifSkope using a regular hood and some (non headwear related) static pieces. It looks great in Nifskope, but it doesn't show in the CS or in-game as the pieces haven't been weightpainted yet. There are also a couple of small edits that are needed (see third pic). Would a kind soul be able to do this in Blender for me? The two smaller gems from Arnora's amulet need to be rotated so that they're not buried inside the circlet. I can PM you the concept art that I based the design off if that would help.

  19. Needs Blender or 3DSMax eh? And it's not a simple copy pasta job? Looks like I'll need to ask for help to have it made. Before I make a formal request though, would it help if I constructed the entire thing in Nifskope, positioning all the pieces precisely how I want before handing it over to the 3D artist? Or would they have to start almost from scratch anyway?
