  1. I thought to start a thread about CS and here can anyone ask a question about how to do it yourself and hopefully get an answer from one who is familiar with Morrowind CS. Anyway, I currently working on a mod and want to know how I add a modded item to one of vanilla NPC (being blocked in CS, but have ownership to a couple of containers in a cell).
  2. That's actually an old idea and I believe Fliggerty was first with that kind of concept.
  3. The only thing that doesn't work is the "Home" link in the bottom and all I get is a cookie file, because the "Home" link doesn't have the "index.php" at the end of that link. Other than that I dunno what might work or not work.
  4. I need to ask. Does the " C " mean a 'c' as it is in computers? Nah, joke saide. Seriously, I too find it hard, sometimes to hard, to get myself into the programming world by learning a decent programming langauge. Good luck.
  5. I assume you had just perform a Spring cleaning on TESA. Thanks for speeding up the server.
  6. That's understandable and I know how it is. I too had sometimes pounded my head into a wall just because something doesn't fit. If you haven't try it then why not give Delphi a try and from what I know Delphi is a little easier since it is based on Pascal.
  7. May I ask, why? Your post reminds me about the local computer store there is in my home town, called Inet and their wesite is inet.se/. The people who work there is friendly and helpful as they know a lot about what hardware fits together and what not fits. They also often take order for a pre-built computer from their customer and I would recommend that to anyone who aren't sure about computers in general, not saying you are, without promoting Inet. So next time you want to get yourself a better computer than you have today then goto your local computer store, if there is one of course, and tell the people who work their what you want to have like; what video card, monitor, motherboard, how much RAM, and what kind of a CPU plus a good tower chassi and ask what is the best cooler for your next PC.
  8. Most modern mobo today has screws attached to the mobo and those screws can be removed if necessary. Of course, I dunno how it is like with a barebone though. A tip, when I built my PC over 15 years ago I asked them if they could help me to mount the CPU+CPU fan since I haven't done that before and they didn't refused. So take the opportunity and ask if someone can help you with the CPU cooler at the same time you purchase it and often they won't refuse such a request.
  9. What HeyYou said, you shouldn't have to, but you might need to pull it out of the chassi. Just to see better where to attach it.
  10. Yep, I would do that to. That's why I always make sure I have a tube of silver thermal paste at home, just in case my CPU cooler run hot. From what I understand the Artic Cooler - Silver Thermal Paste is what most computer store is recommending, at least where I live in Sweden, one when it comes for better cooling in combination of a 3rd party CPU cooler.
  11. When I need to backup something I usually copy the entire partition, just so I don't forget to copy a single file. Sure, it takes time to copy a whole partition in Windows Explorer, but I have a lot of free time.
  12. So there they put the patches. I had no idea the official patches could be found there. Thanks for the link.
  13. Just a few minutes ago I was trying to help a Morrowind player on Nexus and it seemed the member had the retail version, so I thought why not add a link to the official patches. However, after I searched a little I was surprised to see that Bethesda doesn't seem to care about Morrowind anymore, which I think is a disgrace after all Morrowind was the game that saved Bethesda from a disaster IIRC. Now, I dunno what to think about Bethesda and after they closed down the old forum then they moved everything over to Bethesda.net with a forum software that nobody like at least not me, so things have started to go straight downhill lately and that worries me a lot. I also searched for the official patches on MMH and only found 4-5 entries of the Bloodmoon, but I didn't find the official Tribunal patch and I'm gonna to upload it to MMH later after I got a few hours of sleep (I'm too tired now and yet I cannot sleep). So my question is; Do you think Bethesda have forgotten Morrowind completely or am I missing something here?
  14. Earlier today I discover something odd that I think might explain why I can't run in-game after reloading my game. Yesterday, I had obtained Grimsever for Mjoll in the dwemer ruin she lost Grimsever and came from the dwemer tower near the road, close to the entrance for the Frostmere Crypt ruin. Today, I continue from where I left last night and now I couldn't run despite for not being encumbered. After a while I checked my gear, I mean those enchanted amulets, rings which all had the Carry Weight enchantment and all was were active, but as soon I *remove* one and then I click on it a second time now I could run . So it seems to me that somehow the game or my SSD doesn't recognoize the Carry Weight enchantment properly after reloading a gamesave. Of course I could be wrong, but that seems logical to me.
  15. No. It's neither of those locations and I like I said there were dead bandits on the ground and those locations you mention doesn't dead bandits on the ground. Besides, the location I mean seems to be abandoned by a dragon attack and the other locations you posted about weren't attacked by a dragon, not I am aware of.
  16. It is NOT unkillable. Here is what you need to do in order to prevent Win 10 to be installed regardless how many updates you get from Windows Update. 1. Open Notepad and save a text document (empty if you want) as C:\Windows\System32\GWX.txt 2. Right click on GWX.txt and select rename then remove the file extension ".txt", just ignore the warnings, and click Apply or OK 3. Right click on GWX then properities and make sure you tick the "Read-Only" checkbox then click Apply That's about it and now you should have no problem with a Windows Update that's about installing Windows 10.
  17. What brand is your SATA drive and what model is it, that kind of things can tell you a great deal about how fast a SATA is? Check the BIOS about what type of SATA you have and doing that will often tell you what brand it is.
  18. Personally, I doubt that and besides what have ladyonthemoon got to lose and I would advice her to at least try to do that. Should that not work, oh well, perhaps it would be better to buy a faster SATA or as a last resort a bigger SSD.
  19. That's only 8 Gb larger than my Kingston 120 Gb SSD, plus I have 32 Gb RAM (desktop) and you only have 8 Gb RAM (laptop?). The video memory (I have Nvidia 750 Ti 2 Gb Vram) seems less important at least from my point of view.
  20. How large is that page file? If it's 16 Gb then that was news to me, because AFAIK the largest swap file (it's the same as a virtual memory file I think) one can use in Windows is 4 Gb at least in Windows XP.
  21. You know, I actually talked about that with a friend the other day and he said that he once bought a PC with a pre-installed Windows 7, which had a bunch of programs auto-started when booting Windows and that made his new computer slow as hell. He also said that he doesn't have the knowledge as I have. To sum it up, to my knowledge Microsoft aren't known to make Windows fast and efficient, instead they think what's good for Windows users in general. Having 32 Gb RAM is not an overkill I can tell you that much, because the incident that happen with Empire TW happen when I had 32 Gb RAM. Btw... Good to see you, it has been a while.
  22. Why? Because too many gamesaves in the C:\ partition will decrease the total amount of free diskspace and free diskspace is what Windows swap file (virtual file memory) needs to have, otherwise some features such as multitasking in Windows won't work properly hence for having a slow game.
  23. Why I ask is quite simple, because a few games can sometimes freeze and Empire TW is one of those game that can freeze. So the only thing I can do is to exit Empire TW via the task manager when that happen, which often happen when I have very little diskspace left on my SSD (120 Gb).
  24. Hmm, are you playing other games and storing gamesaves for those games on your SSD?
  25. I'll try to remember that. Thanks lady.
