Nope, using doors didn't work. Thanks though Tamira. The doors seem to want to travel from inside to outside, not outside to outside... I hope that made sense.
You will have to be a bit more descriptive then that.
Load doors DO work from exterior to exterior, as can be proven via the exterior enterances into Blackreach. It is technically an exterior, so using doors for exterior to exterior does indeed work.

Rather than duplicate a cell, try copy/pasta its context to a cell you've made.

Most games are like. Just because you buy it doesn't mean that you "own" it, just the privilege of being able to play it.
Yes I am aware of this. Buying a game (Or any software for that matter) at a store or online normally comes with an EULA that you are granted a license to play the game on your machine at home, however, this is not true with Steam (any more). They fairly recently updated their agreement to say that any game you buy through steam still belongs to them and they have the power to terminate your service and access to said games at any time for any reason. And you had to agree to it to access your games there after. So now we don't even own the licenses for the games we bought as we did/do under the game's EULA.
Steam is literally driving a wedge between developers and end users by having an easy to use middle-man. Most people out there see the short term benefit of such a system, but fail to see how this system will ultimately come back to bite us in the proverbial ass.

^^ that indeed. according to the EULA, we don't own the games on steam.

Ok, so he doesnt want mundas destroyed, so he gifts the last dragonborn with the said gift to vanquish alduin and miraak. So how is he evil now? Im confused.
-
But I thought you said he gave it to Miraak to help usher in the next age along with Alduin.
-
you could go into the CK and swap them for the straight black robes?
-
Ah, so you were talking about actual valkyrie.
Well, I guess a simple form would be get a nord and slap some wings on them. As for the abilities, not overly difficult. Looks on the other hand, it would be easier if you had a custom skin mod maybe, as the defaults are rather rugged and dirty looking.
But aside from that, they would look like any other NPC with a custom skin and average armor,
-
Question though... If Miraak was part of his plan, but he failed, why would Akatosh give his gift once again to someone who wasn't set on following his plan? In fact that recipient of the gift even foiled it more by killing Alduin (supposedly) and setting Akatosh back even more. What kind of omnipotent being would grant his gift so carelessly if his end goal was the destruction of Mundas?
And why would Akatosh grant blessings to the mortals he doesn't want?
Albiet I dont have that strong a grasp on lore, it does sound like an entertaining Idea, but doesn't hold up, IMO.

What exactly is the Valkyrie race?

Well first off, greetings and welcome to TESA.
Second, that is way too ambitious of an idea for your first mod.Having a background in coding will help a lot with scripting, as there would be a lot of it in your idea, but that alone won't take you very far.
As for the text based dialogue system like morrowind, I don't think such a thing is possible given how dialogue works in the game. Maybe using special menus via SKSE scripting it could be simulated, however.
I strongly suggest putting this idea on hold, and start doing smaller things to get yourself used to how the editor works. We have several classes to get your feet wet.

Looks like a fortress of solitude. I like it.
-
Technically yes there is, but I don't think it is exactly legal. Morrowind =/= World of Warcraft, so there could be copyrights to take into consideration.
Unless you can prove that it would indeed be legal, I think it best to not discuss this any further. If I am completely wrong about this, then please correct me.

Shiny textures means they have a pure white(?) alpha. You need to darken it. The closer to black the less shiny it will look.

Starcraft: Speed of Darkness
by Tracy Hickman
Genre: Science Fiction
Summary: Far in the future, 60,000 light-years from Earth, a loose confederacy of Terran exiles is locked in battle with the enigmatic Protoss and the ruthless Zerg Swarm, as each species struggles to ensure its own survival among the stars — war that will herald the beginning of mankind's greatest chapter or foretell its violent, bloody end.
All Ardo Menikov ever dreamed of was to live in peace on the verdant colony world of Bountiful. But when the vicious Zerg Swarm attacked the colony and annihilated his loved ones, Ardo was forced to wake from his dream and accept the brutal realities of a war-torn galaxy. Now a confederate marine, charged with defending the worlds of the Terran confederacy, Ardo must come to terms with the painful memories of his past — and the unsettling truths that may dominate his future.
Starcraft Ghost: Nova
by Keith R. A. DeCandido
Genre: Science Fiction
Summary: Four years after the end of the Brood War, Emperor Arcturus Mengsk has rebuilt much of the Terran Dominion and consolidated a new military force despite an ever-present alien threat. Within this boiling cauldron of strife and subversion, a young woman known only as Nova shows the potential to become Mengsk's most lethal and promising "Ghost" operative. Utilizing a combination of pure physical aptitude, innate psychic power, and advanced technology, Nova can strike anywhere with the utmost stealth. Like a phantom in the shadows, she exists only as a myth to the enemies of the Terran Dominion.
Yet Nova wasn't born a killer. She was once a privileged child of one of the Old Families of the Terran Confederacy, but her life changed forever when a rebel militia murdered her family. In her grief, Nova unleashed her devastating psychic powers, killing hundreds in a single, terrible moment. Now, on the run through the slums of Tarsonis, she is unable to trust anyone. Pursued by a special agent tasked with hunting down rogue telepaths, Nova must come to terms with both her burgeoning powers and her guilt — before they consume her and destroy everything in her path....
Obviously these are a very tailored interest series of books, so having some knowledge of starcraft and what things look like, IMO help visualize the world better.

I was waiting for a compilation. =]

from what I gather, yes NMM supports OMOD files, but can not create them.
-
Im not entirly sure. I have the files extracted and have the BSAs in the ini file listed, so Im not 100% sure if it is loading the lose files for me. I have my install on one of my SSDs, and a graphics card able to handle the high resolutions, so ive not seen any issues.
-
Most notebooks only have a single drive, so installing your games on a second partition would yield absolutely no performance gain compared to installing the games on an actual physical second drive.
-
BSAs are basically just compressed archives like a RAR or Zip. So in order for the game to access them, it has to decompress the files it needs before loading them into memory. So by having the files uncompressed, be it with Oblivion, Skyrim, or any game, can give some performance boost to load times. Yes, just load times.
It can improve loading at the start of the game, between cells, and texture swapping in the world, but if the textures are too much for your card's VRAM, then you will still see stuttering due to the unloading and loading of textures from memory.

I run 2 monitors at 1920x1080 each, so I have an effective desktop of 3840x1080

Generally the way to make NPCs use a marker is to set their linked reference pointing at the marker. On the marker, IIRC should be a tab for "patrol data" where you can set the time they will stay there. 0 by default is perminant.

If you are completely new to modding, then I STRONGLY suggest you hold off on modeling. For Skyrim specifically, it is a very tedious task and also requires a bit of fiddeling in NifSkope.
I would instead suggest you start with modding basics, using only vanilla assets. Once you are comfortable with that, then you can start with more complex things.
