  1. Also look here at TESLore on Reddit: LINK
  2. Yep, that's the problem. I think it's what's shown but isn't explained that preserves the ethereal. Hard to do in a game where you want a financial return... That's MK's effect on me too! Makes me want to start writing wild things.
  3. I had other things to do so I just finished the main story. Wow. MK (Michael Kirkbride) is definitely out there. It's why I really like trying to understand his writing. I don't understand it, really. But that's why I love reading him. MK's Lore: Something Men did destroyed Nirn, but Vivec and the other top gods saved the Mer (and others) and swept them all to Masser. They live underground there, up on the moon. Can't really go into detail about the story because of spoilers... but it's perfectly weird and awesome. I guess the artist who was going to do the graphics part of the graphic novel C0DA was supposed to be pulled out or something. That's a shame because it would have made for a wild comic. Game plans...me? hehehe I want MK to make a standard video game about his new setting, but he won't do it, I'm sure. Hope he does more than write, but Bethesda/Zenimax would probably be angry. I want to try to find a sequence to read the rest of the issues. Lady N, if you come around, I'd love to hear if there is a chronology to them.
  4. The only way to copy files to this site is to. . . copy them. Unless I'm forgetting another way. Meanwhile I urge you to check out Kirkbride's C0DA website. LINK From the sound of your first post - freedom to create new lore - I think you might like it.
  5. Actually anybody can create lore. When Bethesda creates lore it becomes official, or canon. This is what most people say...but what happens when one of the creators of lore/canon for early ES games leaves the company but still creates ES lore? You get C0DA from Michael Kirkbride. Is it fan fiction? Lore? Canon? Whatever it is, it's really cool.
  6. The links in the first post of this thread work for me. I've used Paypal safely during this upgrade too... Fred, please try to describe what isn't working for you.
  7. Hey a self-welcome! I guess mine will be redundant then. Welcome fredlaus!
  8. If you could, you should make yourself a shiny WIP post with what you've done so far and what you plan to do. Then at the end of the post you can list what you need, be it only 3D artists, or any others. Maybe even put together an in-progress list of the meshes you need, and as time goes by you can add the name of the artist who's making that piece, and add more needed items to the list. You can just edit your first post with the shiny info. And if I can find the time I might be in touch... Best of luck!

  13. Hey grandescoisa, welcome to TESA The Creation Kit is essentially the same tool Bethesda used to make Skyrim, with a lot of the original functionality removed by the Devs, most likely to preserve their core game. It's very much a game engine (or mini-engine) itself, except that it depends on the Creation Engine to actually do anything. It's buggy, and not so easy to work with, but it's still the easiest way to mod the game. And it's free - I don't know of any other developer that gives their players this kind of tool. So my advice is to learn how to do everything in the CK, and if you think of something you want to do that can't be done with it, that's the time to figure out how to break away from it.
  14. Somehow this tut lost the resource pack you need. If you want to try it out: Here's the TESA link to Metallicow's Clocktower and Clocks resource mod. Here's the Nexus link to Willie's Clocks of Cyrodiil mod.
  15. My mistake there...it sounds like baking, not retopo. Baking takes the lighting info from a high poly model and transfers it to a low poly model. Retopo's one way to get the low poly model. But I digress...ignore me!
  16. That's cool - it sounds like retopology, but with weights. Very good work Vom!
  17. Hey Don, don't spend any money on that machine. Tinker with it but don't put any money into it! I'll PM you with the reason.
  18. I thought I got all the formatting goofs.... Thanks for the alert, it's fixed now. Great to see you pushing through these tutorials.
  19. Hmmm...wish I'da thought of that
