As well as most of you know...
Wrye Bash Development happens mainly on the official forums.
http://forums.bethso...-oblivion-mods/
If you can't find the official topic just search for "Wrye Bash"
Note: I won't be responding much to this topic here as this is a development thing, so go to the official dev thread for responses requiring interested contestants.
What this thread is about is Wrye Bash 300 and future RELz(Releases).
We as Wrye Bash Developers want the community to shape the images that wrye bash uses as not only, but maybe limited to...
Splash Screens(should meet 800x600 req),
Seamless Textures(any size),
Launcher Frame Images(think Skyrim Launcher...)(should meet 800x600 req),
Other images for other things(Ex: REQz)(surprise us...).
Example of the Default Wrye Bash SplashScreen:
Note that the images submitted must be original and compliant with GPL2 standards of distribution(Main Wrye Bash License).
So for example: Some form of Creative Commons License that is universally distributable and MODdifiable is an acceptable form of license will use.
Image Authors will be credited for images if used and meets contest criteria in the official readme.
Please feel free to post extra thoughts and ideas also...
Thanks for considering...

So far the best way I have found to create a map are with mods. Huh? how you ask...
Minmap by kyoma
image stitcher by Timeslip(can be aquired on Map Marker Overhauls DL Page @ Nexus)
a imaging program like photoshop or similar(hopefully with a guided doc(I have made one somewhere if you'd like to pm me. It is Photoshop tho))
dds convertor and/or irfanview for batch processing.
A mod script, IIRC aelius posted somewhere on the MMO thread on the official forums to generate the textures before CTD(which seems to be unavoidable).
And here is the first SI map WIPz beta that I didn't quite get finished yet(or maybe ever). I made it quickly enough with the programs/apps mentioned above. it is not perfect, but with some time and scaling it could be...
Note: you will need a lot of hard drive space for generated textures if your mod map is of decent size...(SI or bigger)

Oct 3rd Ohnoooo...Is it too late to register...?
I've been wanting to enter the last two years for it and didn't get around to it.
How about 13 contestants? I have my own modders resources made already, so no need for a extra resource kit.
And I kind of already started it.. I saw the thread on the official forums but forgot to post or bookmark it.
If this would be OK...?, sign me up. I'll have a finished entry by the deadline(probably before).

I've done quite a few "Quote" Picture books and The width of the texture has to be abnormal, but 480 width or smaller.
Don't recall what the exact max height dimension is, but 512 will work. I think the max for height is somewhere around 650ish... You'd have to test to find the max height by opening the book to see if it CTD.
For example your book pic could be cropped from say a 512x512 pic to a 480x512 texture
I always label the book pic texture with the dimensions also. Ex: ObivionBookCreator480x369.dds
Getting the text to display nicely under the pic is a whole different story, especially if you have font changer mods...

Fact Remains. They have not removed what they did not get permission to upload.
........
EDIT: actually by unregistered apearences, they may be making an effort. We'll see.
Stay tuned....
-
By now they must be wondering where this parade of complaints has come from
It probably came from someone like me who wrote a simple little python program to bug the #$% out of them with emails and spam and whatever else I can conjure up(good thing I save some stuff) and threaten to continue to do so every 3 days until they remove what needs removed. Many people will be bugged all at once. It gets real tiresome having to do all that by hand sometimes.
I bet all involved sure likes the look of their in boxes and everything. Waste my time, I waste yours ten fold. They'll have fun tracing it also, as it changes daily.
Noticed a few M.I.D.D.L.E.F.I.N.G.E.R. oblivion mods on GMOD. I think they are the best on the site.
I think it would be rather enjoyable to take all their logos and make a mod that places nice BIG billboards stating that sites like these are a bunch of thieves. Then have 100's of people register and upload the same mod over and over with some cool name. Billboards, posters, notes the whole lot. Maybe user's of the site will get a bit mad also. Opps, forgot to ask first.

Yeah, you're right about dropping an item and it defaulting to regular scale.
Didn't realize the cookies were that big... I just tested them in my testing cell, which doesn't have stock items such as plates.
What haven't ya heard of jumbo cookies
The bread could use some scaling, I noticed(wasn't quite sure on that one), but if you want to do the cookies also, feel free.
What was you think... Half the size? or something...
And ya, if it was easter, I don't think I would have any problems finding the easter eggs. LOL
whatever.

Ok folks, here`s what I`ve been up to.........
You can`t see it here but all the white keys are delineated in edit mode for texturing purposes. IS, there`s a bit more to it than just a simple wood tex. There are the keys and there will be some metal parts too...
Looking good for a untextured mesh.. Beinging a string player , but also knowing keys, you have done a pretty decent job so far. I notice the empty at the bottom for the foot keys. Reminds me of grandmas organ(not piano).
Yea, it's a bar playtoy of the past.... Don't see many like em anymore.
-
Haha
Hopefully the cake won't be a lie.
Anywho finding trouble with naming your mod?
-
So, in the readme included with the package....
Well... That's a deep subject.
Many people have been working on everything and I respect their right to an opinion.
And in the final say. I believe this cluttering project(future) may have many contributors without a means to access certain requirements...
Therefore...
My view/opinion on the matter is that anything I make or have made in the past is a community resource.
Now, having said that, I allow anyone to use my resources in any way they see fit, within general purpose, as long as CREDIT or General Credit is given. May not be used for commercial purposes.
Do not port to other games without authors permission. Period.
Please keep file structure intact, but not necessary.
Mooo.
After all, I-You(the user) will know if a mod's ligit by test(modd)ing. And (esp)escialy if a user who forgets to credit anyone, might be reminded that 10000+ submitters are watching...well unretired ones... might creep out from the grave to remind you where the resource came from.
Generalo Example:
I use so & so's resource from here...
OR TESA Clutter Resource
Example:
Credits:
Mooo (link)
Or TESA Clutter Resource (link)
EndExample:
Anyone who contributes should at the very least have a general idea to give back to the community...
http://wryemusings.com/Cathedral%20vs.%20Parlor.html
In a sense, I vote for freedom of choice.
Don't forget to include the original_readme
So, Yes, to your question, in my opinion.
Lets take a vote.

Not much more than what I fixed with the collision on the papers in my last post... I got a few things I'm working on, but they may take awhile...
Is there a newer list of things that could be made...? Or has the OP not been updated?
-
Opps, sorry about the missing normalmap. Strange, it didn't look black to me.
Everything should be in this one..
How about a cookie jug to hold all the milk for the cookies?

I'd like you to create me a sig of your own free will. No time limit. Your free mind.
I wouldn't have asked if I didn't appreciate your skill.
If you so choose so, I would like it to be....
eye-catching, drab, and full of various elements that you feel comfortable within
you're skill, but still... Verbose Pantomime. Period!
Can you do it, my friend,,,

Hey kids, guess what time it is?....(time to clutter)
The coin could double as a static window if scaled and new collision made.
Edit: Fixed the collision on the papers
-
Ummm... Exactly what did you do? Now it falls through the floor. Flipped normals?
Are you working with blender?
EDIT: Nevermind... You flipped the normals. I'll Fix my download. Thanks.
-
Today we have a music/arts themed piece of clutter.
The materials and collision may need tweaked better tho...

EDIT: Fixed Download.
-
Does anyone have the knowledge to make the abacus work in real time; with collision
I've tried and had no luck, even with marbles,etc... Collision issue I guess
;my own model.
-
I have tried playing with it for a few minutes:
Bit of vertex paint and it would look better.
Just added textures and some UV altering. UV is not good unfortunately and there are many faces that aren't necessary. I think that it would be better to create one from scratch. Sorry.
Yeah, yeah I know. Maybe I'll get back around to fixing it up nice elven texture one day.... *Dreams where to find time for everything*
But you're in luck today. Here is a goblet I just made.
5 min model ArchDesktop
30 sec gradient sandstone Tex in photoshop.
Too much time in blender UVmapping & sutch. LOL As backwards as the program is compared to others I do find it to be an excellent 3D modeling program... It just takes time to learn thoroughly.
Ready to go with Nif & Tex.

If you Bla Bla about the faces/verts or if you think they are too many, feel free to modify it to suit your fancy.
Fancy was the aim of the model. Modders Resource.

Here is a model of a tablelamp that I never had time to finish when I first started playing around with Blender with ArchDesktop.
http://www.4shared.com/file/FaTFraCa/LampTest.html
materials, collision, uvmapping needs corrected or refined.
Model could be optimised better also.
No textures included. just a nif.
If it suits your project, I would be curious how it turns out.
Anyway enjoy. Cluttering or whatever.

I recall coming across a utility that would dump anything in the console to a txt or some such file for debugging/testing purposes.
I just don't remember what it is? A quick search failed.
I have a script with about 300 or so sounds attached to it and am using rand(OBSE).
See the thing is that I have meticulously looked over the script and added PrintC everywhere.
When I activate it in-game CTD. I need to have a printout to show the last debug message printedtoconsole to tell me which of my files has a lost/missing/corrupt bit in it so that I can fix it, without going through all 300ish by hand.
Embroidermodder2 Kickstarter
in General Discussion
Posted
Dear Gamers and Modders,
Just letting you know we got a Kickstarter going on for Embroidermodder2 finally.
We are going to need all the support we can get.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/redteam316/embroidermodder-2-for-windows-mac-linux-pi-and-ard
What is the program for you may ask...?
It is for making designs and stuff that can be embroidered on just about any fabric.
It is the first real decent open-source embroidery software that handles many formats that would meet
standard business/artists needs.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_embroidery_software
I have played around importing a few of the formats in Blender(svg/dxf atm),
it can be possible for anyone now to stitch/"RenderStitch(used build modifier for my initial test)" a design
with some basic skills and a machine(or you could take it to a local embroidery shop).
Nina Paley already used the software for cool animations!
Wouldn't it be cool to have embroidered apparel for your characters in your favorite games!
Rugs/Tapestries/whatever!
The program aims to make the designer clothing side of the industry affordable
and introducable for not only a small fry just starting a business, it also applies to
shops that already exist as it provides open tools easily customizable to meet
the jobs special purpose needs.
So what we need is for the project to succeed by being funded
and custom clothing design will then be finally open to the masses and
so everyone can profit from it in many different types of applications.
Real-life or game clothing/texture design/your imagination is the limit.
There are many other neat rewards to consider also for your pledge.
The campaign is going on until April 20th(Easter), so I encourage everyone interested
in cheaper quality tools and clothes/etc to pledge what you can.
Lets help these guys out.
Thanks.
