  1. Once again thank you for all the suport, I've uninstalled steam and skyrim, deleted the relevent files, rebooted and reinstalled twice and still there is no change..
  2. That's what makes most of Beth's games good though. Fallout 3 being a prime example, got to blow up a whole town if you wanted to.
  3. I feel the same way, I try to make other characters but seemingly resort back to the same style regardless. As you say, it's all in the roleplaying.
  4. It's cool man no one has to die!!

    horde Bow 1

That's a pretty savage bow, I can imagine it doing extra damage when bashing!
  6. Thanks Will This is the same reason I like to use MO, File Virtualisation or something, I was reffering to the "Data Files" option on the Skyrim Launcher, which should've been blanked out. I've gotten to the point where I'm questioning my hobby as a gamer! [ ]
  7. Ok, well as the title of the post suggests, I am in WAY over my head.. Some of you may have read my posted topic on the S.T.E.P. guide, well, I was going through it, and chose some choice texture mods and the like (nothing too heavy) and since then Skyrim will not start. I was trying to run it through Mod Organizer using SKSE. and it has been working this way for well over a year. Though this time it just opens the SkyrimLauncher. After some digging, I found some solutions that might be of some use. They all involved re installing some components, such as SKSE. After doing this, nothing worked. Running SKSE through Mod Organizer now just opens the Skyrim launcher. In fact, running the game from any source launches the SkyrimLauncher.exe and the "data files" are the official DLCs and the HighResTexture packs from Beth, and not the 130 or so mods I was running, Playing the game through the launcher brings a steam noticfaction up, saying it's about to launch, it then proceeds to open the launcher again... I have a launcher that launches a launcher. So because I'm incappable of being smart enough to back everything up I've had to do a System Restore (Fortunatly I made a restore point just the other day). Only this didn't go so well, some of the files on my system couldn't be accessed (asumed to be my AvastAV) So then I tried turning off/ Uninstalling my AV for the purposes of the system restore. Still not working, so I think screw the system, restore, I'll figure this out myself. I can't do this though.. There is probably a lot more to this tale, and information that you guys needs but I hope someone can give me some advice. To be honest, I just want the Vanilla game and CK back... I don't even care about the mods anymore. I'm currently Downloading Skyrim once again, but have little faith it will work. Thank you all in advance for you support and help. <-This actually sums up exactly what has happened to me.. :/ UPDATE: Skyrim finished downloading from steam, tried to run it, and it asked for admin password which isn't normal..( I've made sure the compatibility tab under properties is correct.) when I enter the PW steam just says it's already running Skyrim. TaskManager assures me that this is not the case...
  8. Howdy Crackomist! Welcome to the gang, I found your "wall o' text" enjoyable to read. Hope you stick around for more cookies.. They're kind of addictive.. :/
  9. I find this quest rather boring on most playthroughs, apart from when I'm doing the typical Hero-adventurer thing. I don't have a terribly good system. I guess its ok for a Laptop though.
  10. Using SkyUI now, it's perfect. And as for Beth's HD textures, they're a little grimy and dull, they were also free though... It would seem to me, unless you're one of those OCDers, that the STEP guide can really just be used to find a decent list of mods and tweaks that can be tailored to any type of rig setup. It's a good guide with some really decent instructions and information for someone as new to this as me.
  11. It's what she's says to me after every interaction regardless of if I've started/finished the Redguard Quest The point of the picture was to get as many "HD" mods running as possible. The eyes are sooo pretty..
  12. Why, thank you! I've since messed my ENB up past getting that colour sheme back, without an immense amount of fillding. :/
  13. Ok thanks, I do feel that the vanilla could use some minor improvement, mainly on textures. Also the UI is something that always bugged me. I think my set up is capable of it, though not certain. I'll just have to jump in and see I guess. I really just want to get settled so I can start on CK again.
  14. Hello, I really did just want some of your opinions (which are very highly valued by myself considering the expertise on this forum) on the S.T.E.P Guide and the corresponding ENB is settings & mods it recommends. The only real reason I'm asking is because I decided to completely re-install Steam & Skyrim to a location on my laptop that makes it easier to find & edit things. While working my way through the Guide I got a distinct feeling of "Massive Overkill". Is all of this really required for such Enhancment?
  15. Hey, I hope this is the correct place for this question. I've been trying to work my way through the great Skyrim modding tutorial on these forums, and I've pretty much gotten to the end of the first lesson without any major issue, Bar this one; On loading the CK for the first time along with the Skyrim.esm I had some error messages appear, I thought it's possibly mod(s) I've installed, but these plugins were not selected initially. The circles show the options chosen. The CK seems to do everything else fine if I choose these actions, and while building the Lesson #1 plugin I didn't encounter any problems or during testing of the plugin. Is this something I should be worried about? and if so how might I go about resolving this issue? I can live with pressing 'Yes to all' & 'Retry', as longs as its not damaging/corrupting anything. I'll also take this opportunity to mention I'm not a Computer Whiz by any stretch of the imagination, so please be patient! Thank you.
