  1. Edit: Ok. File is ready for download
  2. I recreated the Warglaive of Azzinoth (Warcraft 3/world of Warcraft) from scratch in Blender. This is the second version of my mod. What's new? - a flame particle effect similar to the effect of the original Warglaives from WoW (World of Warcraft) - higher texture resolution (lower resolution ones still available as option) - Azzinoth (the main opponent) got a new hideout - every Warglaive variant got its own entry in the Constrution Set. So you don't need to replace the textures anymore if you want to use another variant - added a gold silver variant of the Warglaive Where I can find the glaives? - You can find them in Azzinoth's Hideout. The access is hidden in Beldaburo Anga, the second level of Beldaburo which is an Ayleid ruin to the Northwest of Anvil. Azzinoth, who guards the weapons with his live, has a level of 20. Your character should have a similar level or higher. Any clues? - Look for a wall switch with a red Welkynd stone in the middle. OBSE is required. You can find more screenshots in the galery >> Read Readme <<
  3. New changes: - flying sounds only start when you are flying and end when you land. Before, they started automatically after you did choose them in the menu regarless of whether you where flying or not and they only cound be disabled via menu. Note: you need to land now before you can choose another flying sound - the folded wing state became static and got another wing shape. You can now use animation replacers that replace the idle.kf. Before, a modified idle.kf from some animation replacer mods could change the shape of the folded wings. The folded wings are rigged to default skeleton instead and can't be influenced by wing bone data from any winged animation anymore - the folded wings got a new shape - if you start flying, the static wings will be replaced with the animated ones and change back when you land - it doesn't matter now what skeleton do you install (you could even use the default skeleton if you decide not to fly). But if you want to fly, the skeleton should have wing bones, like the one from Universal Skeleton, Coronerras's or Vipcxj's. the new wing shape
  4. Although I'm playing Skyrim right now, I want to continue the project from time to time, even when I just do a little. Yesterday, for example, I added new eyes to the race (like the Heart Eyes from this resource). And I planned far-reaching changes: - the figure with the name Xantir (see background story in the first post) will become female and the its name will change to Xantara - an optional addon esp will make it possible to use the hairs from Comprehensive Cosmetic Compilation together with the Abyss Demons. If you choose this option, you will need to download the cosmetic package separately
  5. The female body textures got their final tweaks as well: for comparison
  6. I made final tweaks to the body textures. Their normal maps are a lot smoother now (I didn't like this rough look anymore). The tattoos got more depth and another skin tone. The body textures before: http://imgbox.com/abzaSeth And the body textures after: http://imgbox.com/aczTipjH
  7. I made some promo pictures. Hope you like them
  8. Some days ago I resumed the work on my project after I played Adash and Heart of the Dead. I think the pause was a good decision and now I'm more motivated. I tweaked the ice cave a little, where the laboratory of Itarkra, the Dwemeric scientist, is located. The cave consisted of only one mesh not so long ago. I splitted it into several parts to improve performance. The cave is really big. Because of this I enabled the dungeon fog to fade out distant areas which has an positive effect on the performance as well. Then I added new ingredients to the Construction Set and placed some containers to the cave (but I haven't assign the ingredients to the containers yet). But I focused my work on the improvement of the face textures. I replaced the mouth and the eyebrows on the texture and doubled its resolution (from 1024x1024 to 2048x2048). You can see the result on these two pictures: II used some photos as base for the lips and eyebrows. The photos were taken with my digital camera. I photographed myself, cut out the lip and eyebrow parts and edited them to my liking. So I added my own personal touch to the Abyss Demons ^^. Edit: And here are some pictures which sho you how the other two variants will look like with the improved face textures: By the way, I replaced the head mesh of the variant in the upper picture with another head mesh. I think it matches the male Abyss Demon diplomats better.
  9. I decided to make a pause from modding because I run out of steam atm . Furthermore, I want to play the mods which are located on my hard disk for a long time (like the last released parts of Adash or Heart of the Dead). But the thread and me will be available to you if you have any further questions/suggestions . PS: Don't worry - the work will go on later. Until now I finished (nearly) all started projects. But in the case I will not finish the project, I will release the already finished things as resource. PPS: you can find the new beta here
  10. I uploaded the "ALL IN ONE" version on Tesnexus some days ago. This version includes all parts and updates (including Nehrim version) in English and German language. You can download it here (it's the first file in the Files section)
  11. The Ren Head Version is available! This addon replaces the race's head with the head from Rens Beauty Pack. In my opinion it makes the female variants of the race more feminine looking: You can find the addon here under Updates (Abyss Demon - Ren Head Version - EV).
  12. 28 August 2011 New addon: Abyss Demon - Ren Head Version This addon replaces the head of the Abyss Demon race with the head of Rens Beauty Pack. In my opinion it makes the female variants of the race more feminine looking: You can find the addon here under Updates (Abyss Demon - Ren Head Version - EV). +++ The time has come and is ripe for Beta 2 after about one year of development. Abyss Demon - Beta 2 is a mod which comes with three different variants of a demonic race. Two variants are inspired by Illidan and Malfurion from World of Warcraft/Warcraft 3. The third one, a hybrid between the winged variant and human, is a product of my imagination. In the second beta all races are classified under the term "Daemona" which comes from the word "demon". The common people call them Abyss Demon because they believe that the Daemona come from the abysses of Oblivion. The Daemona’s true origin is still a mystery. Variant 1: Daemona Aero The Daemona Aero have the ability of flight and are considered to be the hotheads among the Daemona. Variant 2: Daemona Druida The Daemona Druida live in close touch with nature and are considered to be the druids among the Daemona. Variant 3: Daemona Hybrida The Daemona Hybrida are a hybrid between Daemona Aero and humans and are considered to be the diplomats among the Daemona. An overview of what to expect in the new beta: - 3 different variants of the race (we will come back to that later) - The race's ability to fly and to fight while flying - 2 horn variants and one antlers which can be combined with the extras "tail", "wings" and "claws" or deactivated completely via a menu - 67 hair styles and 115 eyes to choose from - 3 new classes: Berserk, Druid and Diplomat - The possibility to change flying sound (wing flap); 4 sounds can be accessed via a menu - A flying speed which depends on the player’s flying - A flying speed boost spell which increases the flying speed by a constant value for a limited time - A flying system which doesn’t replace animations anymore and so should be compatible with animation replacers (and which is more more reliable than the previous one ) - New flying animations which I specially designed for the Air Fight System Requirements: - Oblivion Script Extender (OBSE 0020 Beta 5 or higher) - VipCxjs Plugin Collection (Version 3 or higher) - VipCxjs Air Fight System (Version 3.7 oder höher) - Custom Race Fix or Unofficial Oblivion Patch (use only one!) Abyss Demon - Beta 2 is splitted into three archives: Part 1 of 3: Abyss Demon Beta 2 - English version <- Esp Part 2 of 3: Abyss Demon - Beta 2 - Core File <- Meshes, Textures Part 3 of 3: Abyss Demon - Beta 2 - Custom Wing Shape <- the skeletons; are required for the wings and animations The first two parts must be downloaded separately. You can decide if you download part three or if you use one of the following alternatives: Universal Skeleton Nif, Coronerras Maximum Compatibility Skeletons. Custom Wing Shape includes edited versions of the alternatives which make a the wings look tighter (see screenshot). If you want to play Abyss Demon in Nehrim as well, download Abyss Demon - Nehrim version v2 additionally as optional file and activate AbyssDemon - Nehrim.esp instead of AbyssDemon.esp. You can find more information about the installation of the Nehrim version in the included readme of that version. Recommended mods: (not absolutely necessary but it makes the body textures looking better) Roberts Male Body Replacer V4 or V5 HGEC (or other EyeCandy mods like Exnem or TGND) Alternative download mirrors: Tesnexus The nine installation steps (short version) 1. Download all components Download all components which are listed under “Requirements:†2. Install OBSE 3. Install VipCxjs Plugin Collection Make sure that you have the following folder structure: Oblivion Data obse plugins. After a successful installation you will find the vipcxj_plugin_collection.dll in the plugins folder. This file is needed for many mods created by the author VipCxj like the Air Fight System. 4. Install VipCxjs Air Fight System You need to copy VipCxj_AirSystem.ini to Data folder as well. If you want to get rid of the message which probably appears after the next loading, set in the VipCxj_AirSystem.ini the value 1 behind "set VipCxjFlySystemData.bWarning to" to 0. 5. Install Custom Race Fix or use Unofficial Oblivion Patch instead (do not use both!) 6. Install Abyss Demon Beta 2 - English version 7. Install Abyss Demon - Beta 2 - Core File 8. Install the skeleton nifs (Abyss Demon - Beta 2 - Custom Wing Shape) If other skeleton nifs are already in _male folder, overwrite them and make backups of the old skeleton nifs before that if necessary. These are the files which will be replaced: skeleton.nif and skeletonbeast.nif. 9. Remove the animations from the previous beta version (if you installed them before) You can find the old animations under Data\meshes\characters\_male and have the following names: bowjumploop.kf, handtohandjumploop.kf, jumploop.kf, onehandjumploop.kf, staffjumploop.kf und twohandjumploop.kf. After deleting these files, you need to update your ArchiveInvalidation, otherwise your game will crash after the next loading of the game. You can do that with Oblivion Mod Manager. Please read this guide: http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/archiveinvalidation.html I recommend you to read the included readme. It provides further information about installation and some other information which I didn't quote in the description because the description would be as long as a book . The readme is easy to navigate (thanks to the creator of hyperlinks ) and I put a lot effort into writing it . The flying system You start flying when you hit the SHIFT + E shortcut. Hit this shortcut again to stop flying. You can change the second key of this shortcut by changing the value behind "set VipCxjFlySystemData.iSwitchKey to" in the VipCxj_AirSystem.ini. The value 18 stands for the letter E. You can find at the bottom of the ini a list with the values for other keys. So, if you want to change E to M, replace the 18 by a 50 and save the .ini. You navigate in flight with W, A, S, D keys just as you do it while walking/running. With caps lock key (the one you normally use for running) you can switch between two flying speed levels. If you want to fly faster, you can use the "Flying Speed Booster" spell. After the spell is used the speed of your character and consequently the flying speed will be increased by constant value (+300 points) for limited amount of time (ca. 60 seconds). Use this spell at your owm risk. If the world cells, which were flown through by your character, are loaded to fast, your memory could overflow which causes a crash to desktop (CTD). It all depends on your hardware constellation. If your memory is less than 1 GB, I recommend you not to use the spell. This indication is a rough estimate because I tested the Booster on my system only. Your best bet would be to make a backup of your save before you test the spell. In the previous beta you could increase the flying speed without any limit what caused the well known CTD when memory overflows in many places. Because of this I limited the flying speed in the new beta to reduce the number of possible crashes. The configuration menu You can access this menu by using the "Abyss Demon Config. Menu" spell. The menu is divided into two submenus, namely "Manage Extras" and "Manage Flying Sound". In the first one you can decide whether your character should wear for example wings only. In the second you can decide which flying sound (wing flap) you want to hear or you can disable it. Note: The chosen sound will be played until you open the menu again and choose "Stop Flying Sound" option. Future plans The final version will contain, besides the race, new locations like a sanctuary for the members of the race and a dungeon to explore. Everything will be accompanied by a quest which deals with the origin of the Daemona/Abyss Demons. You can find the project thread here.
  13. Here are the pictures of the quarters of Itarkra's guards their training room the guard's lounge the swimming pool and their sleeping area Btw a second beta comes in the next days. Stay tuned ^.^
  14. Thanks! I hope to get everything done before the release of Skyrim. But this could probably be after that. I think that doesn't really matter. Some modders set the release of Skyrim as deadline, I not. I rather take the time to make the mod as good as possible than publish an incomplete mod with probably a lot of bugs (except for Beta releases for testing purposes). Last year I said release could be this spring/summer. I doubt that I'm able to stick to that schedule. So all I can say is: it's done when it's done Edit: And here's the two-handed blade version of the staff You can swap between the two versions with a spell.
  15. Thank you, too The outfit belongs to a magician. But what's a magician without his staff? He might feel naked without his prestige object. That's why I created a staff to complement the outfit. The model was built in the 3D program Blender. Yesterday/in the early morning I finished texturing. the model in Blender and textured ingame
  16. Since last week I'm working on an outfit for one of the quest characters and I finished it today. Here are the screenshots:

    Old Weapon Meshes

    The Sun Mace looks great!
  18. Yesterday, I built two new areas: the exterior and interior of Itarkra's Palace. It's his place of calm, far away from his laboratory in this icy cave. The palace is located in its own dimension and can only be accessed via the teleportation pad in the bed chamber. In contrast to the laboratory the palace is not part of the reality and must be anchored in the reality with the use of magic. In his opinion Ayleidic magic doesn't suffice to anchor this dimension permanently. That's why he uses the Daedric magic of Sigil Stones instead. exterior view of the palace interior view of the palace I used this resource for the creation of the two areas: AyleidNBB New Building Blocks
  19. I'm glad to hear (read^^) this Some Ayleidic elements got new browny textures which made this room in my opinion more cozy. These textures are default Oblivion textures enlarged, sharpened and recolored by me. The bright Ayleid textures may look different on other computers unless the users have installed QTP 3 Redimized as well.
  20. The bed chamber of Itarkra, lord of Abyss Demons, has just been finished and ready for occupation. This esteemed gentleman is not at home this time why Samantha (my character) watches over it until he returns from his journey. The chamber was furnished in Ayleidic style because its owner has a preference for Ayleidic things. But he's also open to other styles. On his earlier trips he even made a visit to the Planes of Oblivion and the Shivering Isles and brought back various souvenirs which adorn this room. We only need to wait for the return of this multicultural Dwemer.
  21. Maybe you find some suitable hair in the following mods: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15568 http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4431 http://www.4shared.com/file/imbvCJP2/2ch_Hair_Explosion_Set.htm
  22. I reworked the portal and used this design as reference and modified it to suit my taste. Here's a picture of the new version:
  23. I built two Dwemer statues which are standing on a pedestal. I created the statues and the pedestal in Blender. There's a portal between the statues which many know from Shivering Isles. The statues's weapons came from Hel Borne's Morrowind Style Dwemer Weapons (you can find them here) and the textures of the statues and the pedestal from Sheogorad - Forsaken Isles. The portal will connect the oubliette and the assistants's quarters (both will be in one interior) with Itarkra's retreat. And this is how it looks ingame:
  24. Here are some other races: The Falmer Deus Obscurus - The God of Darkness (you can find the new version here) Ancient Elven Sorcerer
