  2. The problem with the enchantments and repairing the weapons to 125 % should now be solved. Visman sent me his SoB version. SoB stands for Shield on Back. Advantages of the SoB version in comparision with the regular version 1.2: - you can repair the Warglaives up to 125 % - you can enchant them without any problems (if you activate Warglaive_1C.SoB - No Enchantments.esp) Note: requires OBSE and the ShieldOnBack.esm from Shield on Back Furthermore, there's also a reduced version containing just the main and off-hand Warglaives. No scripts and no enchantments. You can now enchant, repair and drop them without any problems. But without scripts the double Warglaives on the back are not possible. If can't go without them I recommend the regular or the SoB version (the last one requires OBSE). Download @Tesnexus (file one and three)
  3. @InsanitySorrow: that's this armor : http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25425
  4. Maybe swapping the weapon when the back weapon is on the back breaks the scripts and result in CTD. I'm not an expert in scripting but really thankful that people make such complicated scripts. Visman made an improved version of sheath script which was originally from Nicos Scimitar mod (I thought first that it was made by another guy). My skills in scripting are not enough to solve this problem. I'm not sure if it could be solved by an expert in scripting. It could also be an Oblivion engine bug. Who knows So: never swap the weapon if you have the back weapon on your back
  5. @Si-Shen: never heard this before. Maybe it's better with the new version... Version 1.2 is released! Version 1.2 changes: - improved sheath scripts (thanks, Visman!): the scripts work now on NPCs and in the inventory - improved icons - scripted enchantments for main and defensive weapons The download link in the first post. Have fun!

  7. new bloody variant download link in the first post (version 1.0 will be replaced completely)
  8. I recreated the Warglaive of Azzinoth (Warcraft 3/world of Warcraft) from scratch. You can find the Warglaive in the Ayleid ruin Beldaburo (northwest of Anvil). But be careful. The mighty Dremora Azzinoth guards the weapon with his life. The Warglaive comes in three versions: with blue-green blades, with bright green blades or bloody blades (see in addition the installation instructions). new in version 1.2: - improved sheath scripts (thanks, Visman!): the scripts work now on NPCs and in the inventory - improved icons - scripted enchantments for main and defensive weapons Installation: Copy the folders meshes, textures and the "Warglaive - EV".esp to your Oblivion Data directory. Activate the esp via Oblivion launcher -> Data files. Play Oblivion and enjoy! Ignore the other esp which is for German speaking users. The folders "bright green blades - hellgrüne Klingen" and bloody blades - blutrote Klingen" include optional textures for the blades of the Warglaive. These folders contain another folder "Textures". Put this folder in the Oblivion Data directory and overwrite the other textures. Download Pictures:
  9. another picture of the progress - an additional alternative texture for the blades in blue-green (in my opinion the bilious green is a bit too extreme) - main and defensive weapon can be carried on the back the remaining work to do: - the opponent - icons for the weapons Thanks to all for your nice and constructive comments which helped me a lot during the creation process
  10. coming soon... the last points on the To-Do list: - creating the off-hand weapon (done) - the character will wear both off-hand and main-hand weapons on his back (done) - placing the opponent with the Warglaive in a dungeon - icons for the weapons
  11. The texture is about 80 % finished That's my UV map Slowly but surely I have got the knack of UV mapping: seams, scaling, moving... it's not so hard if you have a lot of practice
  12. So it looks with basic colors added (details come later )
  13. Removed the vertex color. I think the weapon is ready for making the final texture now
  14. so it looks now additionally (in Nifskope), I followed these instructions: http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u28/VinceB_photo/Chart2.png
  15. the weapon ingame (with temporary texture at the moment)
  16. Welcome to the forum, Herolegend! Have a nice day
  17. The texture will contain the main features of the original texture but the colored monotonous parts will be replaced by colorored metal parts.
  18. My first weapon ... not quite, if you count the first attempt of making a weapon after a tutorial some years ago when I began to learn Blender (the result was a big and bulky thing ) and after that I made armor conversions. Now I tried to make weapons again. I want to recreate the Warglaive of Azzinoth (World of Warcraft) from scratch. my reference pictures: Render in Blender and Nifskope: The weapon is UV mapped, the next step is making the texture. I want to make the texture from scratch, too. The texture should have a more metal look, because the original textures are in opinion very cartoonish. Do you have some tips for texturing ?

  21. I'm a wanderer wandering in this community in search of new adventures. 22 years old and never too old for my favourite game Oblivion. What would I do without the countless mods? I don't know. I can't imagine an Oblivion without mods now. They made this game wonderful. Some years ago, around November 2007, I began to make mods myself. Modding is a kind of art and addiction at the same time for me (making Oblivion characters is my other addiction). I started with a house mod and then made some retextures, races, armor conversions and finally I managed to build my own weapon in Blender (nearly finished, the only work to do is making the texture). In the future I want to be able to create my own armor from scratch and make animations. But I don't only play Oblivion and mod for it. Meeting with my good friend is an essential part of my life. Furthermore I love reading books and knowledge magazines; I can't get enough of them (the same for watching movies). My favourite genres are mystery, thriller, Sci-Fi, horror, fantasy. I really like the novels by Dan Brown (Angels and Demons, The Da Vinci Code) and Stephenie Meyer (Twilight saga). My apprenticeship is over (June 2009) and now I'm searching for a job which satisfy me. Maybe I will make another apprenticeship next year because further education is important for me. In the meantime I spend time on finishing my planned mods.
