  1. Unfortunately, no. My version of Oblivion is game of the year edition, complete with all major DLC's. My cousin actually had it and stopped playing. It can be either installed in Russian or English. I have it on my Steam account as a non-Steam game though. Another question, which is better to use, OBMM or NMM? I have some mods that do not quite come together right, and from what I was reading on the Steam forums, OBMM has some features that could be more beneficial than NMM? Pro's & Con's anyone?
  2. Digging through my folders, I did find OBSE. Now as to whether it is working or not, I cannot say, because I am unfamiliar with what all it is supposed to do. I know it is a script extender which is useful in modding, but am unaware of the uses in actual gameplay. I will also definitely check into the Advanced Magecraft that you suggested.
  3. Does anyone happen to know anything about the Enchantment Mastery mod located on Nexus Mods Oblivion? http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/24915/? I installed it with NMM, but am unable to get it to function correctly. According to the post: Also, according to the readme file: What I am wondering is, why I have not seen the "EM: Ready to enchant" message; as well as what does the levels refer to? Is this mastery in specific schools of magic or what? Any advice is much appreciated, I would love to get this working properly, and not have to either remove it, or replace it with something similar.
  4. Not sure, With my main character being a Nord, I would say either Bruma (naturally) or stay my butt at Battlehorn now that I have it, up and running; needs more guards around though, they lost it once you remember.
  5. Then too, since newegg.com does most defiantly not ship overseas, you may try Tigerdirect.com they at least seem to have options available to you. I have dealt with both in the past, and have not had much trouble with either. Return policies are good for both, but I don't know how that would work overseas. You can look into a full system, or a bare bones kit, or just the certain parts that you want; your choice. Just trying to help bubba!
  6. Thanks guys, I have it saved in my favorites for download later. As I stated before, I am still basically learning the terminology and all of that at the moment. I don't want to install CS on this machine as it is my fiancee's and she gripes at me enough about putting to much stuff on hers. When I get my laptop back from the pawn shop (I know, I know, horrible horrible DrengrHUngr) then I will do the install on that one.
  7. No sir, I have just begun to learn modding. I am still in the CS Basics stage. It is either something for me to aspire to, or if someone likes the idea and would like to run with it, I am fine with that, I have great ideas, just don't have the know how at the moment. As far as Mazoga goes; that girl it think would have been to freaky for me even on my best of younger years. LOL
  8. Excluding the technical details of everything here PhilippePetain, just a quick question. I know you said that there are not that many local places in your area of Finland to buy the physical product. However, if possible, if you could get what you needed there for a bit more money without having to pay the ridiculous international shipping costs; customs/and all other applicable taxes, would it not be worth it? You are not to far from Netherlands, I have some friends who live there that I had the pleasure of meeting a few times when they came to the United States, and even the laptop that Marianne had was a better machine than my desktop at the time. Could you order something from over in that area?
  9. Perhaps make it a quest mod; as a reward for a service to a certain count or something. Who knows, maybe Mazoga the Orc would move in and be your wife.....
  10. Just an idea here, since I am a greenhorn to the world of modding. I am unsure if it would work because I don't know if the dynamics of the game are to different, but if not, then it is something to strive to achieve! Would it be possible to create a mod for Oblivion similar in fashion to "Hearthfire" in Skyrim; so that a player could build their own house in a predetermined location in the wilderness. I think that would be way awesome as my son would have said.
  11. Are you a fellow cigar smoker too grond? :good:

    1. grond

      grond

I like 'em - a good one feels extremely natural, like you're immersing yourself in the earth, with none of the mess... but then I have to take a cigarette break :lmao: No joke!

I smoke cigarettes mostly. Not as earthy, but as we all know, it's super cool! :P

I got into cigars just within the last year myself, I had smoked a few minis in the past, Garcia v Vegas or Antonio Cleopatra's, but that was it. I still enjoy some minis now, and occasionally get the larger one; I am still learning the sizes ( length vs diameter ) ratio. Have not had any really expensive ones, whereas I am constantly broke, and don't know if I could tell the difference between a $7, $37, $100 cigar anyway. Most I have paid is is about $7 for a Robusto of some kind cannot remember the brand but it burned "oh so nicely" I usually spend about $2.62 for I believe they are Quorum brand, not a full 7 inch Churchill mind you but probably at least 5-6 and as big around as my thumb, with a Nicaraguan dark wrapper and blend.

  12. Nice to meet you Hanaisse, I have many other friends, extended family, guildmates, and fleetmates that I play with in various games that live up in your area. From Alberta to Calgary, to places that I can't even pronounce. :D

  13.      At 6:30 this morning 12/10/2015 while my fiancee and I were heading into town I get a text from my ex-wife telling me to call now! For the last year and a half, my son has been battling  Wegener’s Granulomatosis. According to The National Organization for Rare Disorders, " Wegener's granulomatosis is an uncommon disorder characterized by inflammation of blood vessels (vasculitis) that results in damage to various organ systems of the body, most often the respiratory tract and kidneys. Symptoms may include ulcerations of the mucous membranes in the nose with secondary bacterial infection, a persistent runny nose, sinus pain, and chronic middle ear infection (otitis media) potentially resulting in hearing loss. In some cases, kidney abnormalities may progress to kidney failure, a serious complication. If the lungs are affected, a cough, expectoration of blood (hemoptysis), and inflammation of the thin membrane lining the outside of the lungs and the inside of the lung may be present. The exact cause of Wegener's granulomatosis is not known. "

My son ,Austin, has been in and out of the hospital several times in the last year facing end stage renal failure, and this morning they were preparing to life flight him back to Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, AR when he was coughing blood again. Apparently his lungs were full of blood and they tried to incubate him but could not, so they put the breathing bag on him which forced so much air into his stomach that he emptied the contents of his stomach and lungs. He passed away this morning, a young man of only 19 years; engaged to a wonderful woman that had been with him for 3 years. He is survived by one older sister, one younger sister, and one younger brother.

This disease usually affects people between the ages of 40-60, so as far as the doctors know, he is the youngest person to ever have contracted it. What makes it worse is the fact that no one knows what causes it, just that it is genetic, and we don't know which side of the family it may have came from or how far back. I have done my crying and now have an emptiness that will never be filled.

Thank you for your response, I never would have imagined that I myself would have made it this far in life to 43 with some of the garbage that I put myself through, let alone having to face the single most painful fear that any parent should ever have to face. Once again, thank you for your thought, any prayers, and moral support. I have only been here a short time, but the few that I have started to associate with seem to be a very good bunch of people.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I hope our condolences bring you comfort and our prayers ease the pain.

So sorry to hear this. Indeed it is a tough thing for a parent to outlive his kids. As Grondo said, at least he`s beyond suffering .... yours however will take some time. If you need to talk, feel free to PM me. I`m usually on in the evenings.

  14. Well TigerCubofPNW, would just peeking at how someone else did it, to you be considered taking their work in your opinion? Or, as per the ongoing discussion, would it be merely seeing how it was done so long as nothing in the script was changed and you set yours the same?
  15. Ok, so as you say since things that are done in the CS are really at the basic level, then addressing those with acknowledgments towards the authors is courteous yet not necessarily demanded. However, were we to change something using once of the other more complex programs that I have been reading up on that I found through here, then that requires permissions from the author, or whomever may have helped them, a chain of persons let's say.
  16. I believe that a mod involving the use of coffee, actually cooked in a pot over the campfire, would go over rather well on mornings like this one.

  17. Welcome am new here myself, nice ta meet cha!!!
  18. I would agree with you to some extent IronBlockGames, dependent upon if beast followers were one of those mods where they offer permissions to do with as you please so long as credit is given where credit is due, or would that matter in this case since you would be merely checking stats of the animals and not changing anything in the mod itself? Only reason I ask, is because I am a full on Noob modder still grasping the basics of the CS. Long time gamer!!!!!! with full intentions of being a modding demon! Someday...
  19. Have not gone through anything here and taken a look. Nexus mods has some pretty insane stuff out out there though; has left me scratching my head during a "WTF" moment a time or two. Or better yet, you fine one that looks decent, download it, and it wont work because there are files missing; that is when you wanna find the author and say "hey, dude......"
  20. Probably Oblivion to start. This rig that I am running wont handle Skyrim. my gaming rig that I was running was a desktop, and in the middle of a fairly viscous battle, smoke began to boil from the back of my machine. Apparently the fan on the processor on my video card seized up, and the thing burned up; with a quickness!!! Took a few other minor parts with it, nothing that can't be fixed, I just have not gotten around to doing it yet; so I broke out the laptop, played Morrowind for awhile, got bored with that then got into Oblivion.
  21. Well Ladyonthemoon that is the $60,000 question, as I have grand idea's without grand capabilities; I intend on utilizing the school that y'all have here along with some information that I had found from DarkRider quite a while back on CS basics. There are already so many good mods out there that it is going to be hard to compete, especially just getting started learning to mod, but also in my opinion, and I don't mean to sound blasphemous here, but there are some extremely ridiculous crap out there too if we are gonna be honest with ourselves. I want to make something that is gonna actually enhance the game, and game play. Not something that seems like you are running around in God Mode all the time, otherwise what is the point right? I will admit, that I find myself having to do this occasionally when I am in a dungeon after I have cleared it and now have 1786lbs worth of loot to tote back to town with only a 325lbs carrying capacity, but the fight is always done regularly, often times at the expense of a few save games because I got my dumb ass killed! Maybe a comic sidekick you know, the whiny yet reliable and very proficient follower. Follower: " I dunno boss, don't think we should be this deep underground. If we were meant to be in the dark this long The Nine would have given us night eyes. " Player: " Just shut up, stop your complaining and take the lead in that tunnel over there. I pay you to fight, not make noise like a 5 year old girl. Now go. "
  22. Thank you, thank you, for the welcome.
