@PunkN I've never used Windows 8.1, just XP, 7 and 10. However, I have the Linux Subsystem with Ubuntu installed on my laptop. They were right: it still needs work! :-)

I'm just trying to make a rectangular selection in Paint.net and it deselects when I release the mouse button. Please help.

Funny thing- I saw a resource on the Nexus for upper stores in inns.

You sound like someone I can be friends with. :-)

Yes, I have some advice: Don't make 100 new outfits in your first mod!
-
Khajiit sees that there are no requests for Skyrim, and so he makes one: Can someone please write a tutorial on how to set up new perks? (out of character) I'm making a mod where you need a specific perk to craft robes. And I don't know how to add that perk to an existing "constellation" or even make a new one, or where to get art assets so the skill menu doesn't end up looking strange. Thank you.

Reminds me of Linux! You don't just download a file and run it, oh no; there are (as of last count) twelve different ways to install something: package managers; building from source (there are several methods); AppImages (which are very nice) and so forth... Nothing is straightforward or obvious. No wonder the majority of the world runs Windows.

Just so you know, there's a similar quest in "Tales of Seyda Neen".

Hello Casey! This one is glad you're here; you should
cover my escapemake things interesting around these parts. I think I have a cookie somewhere... Ah, there it is. -
I'm assuming (hoping) it's in a archive. (Where else would such an important object be stored?)

I thought perhaps installing Morrowind in a 32-bit environment would fix what was ailing it. It did and it didn't.
The .ini file seems to have everything it should now, but there's still an error when I press Play. It says "Failed to load cursor Meshes\.nif" and clicking on Ok brings me back to the desktop (with my screen resolution altered). Has anyone else encountered this error? Or perhaps it's just one of the hazards of running Morrowind through Wine.

Bless you, Lady!

Statement: "Better" is a subjective term, depending greatly on one's point of view. But for my money, yes, Morrowind is in many ways better.
Addendum: Skyrim is good if one just wants to bash some skulls. It's quite therapeutic.

Hello; Tiger is back. Right now I'm trying to get my Steam version of Morrowind to run via Wine, but there's a problem. Namely, all the fonts are missing from the .ini file. Does anyone know where they should go? I'll post the contents of the current file here.

It's strange how reading about something can bring that thing to your notice. Take the time when I read in Game Informer that many first-person games have the camera close to the ground- and then noticed that this is so in Skyrim.
My question is, how easily can Khajiit adjust the camera so it's closer to the Dragonborn's eye level? Where is it in the C.K?

I think it's 2.6, but be advised, programmers like long version numbers.

(written back in Oblivion days.. concepts still apply)
For your third question, you can drag and drop zipped archives directly into the Bash Installers window. Did you install Bash in the correct place? Is it detecting your game?
I think it's installed correctly; after all, I did using the installer each time. Recently, though, I'm moving mod archives to my "backup" folders so as to reduce the number of places I need to look to install a specific mod.
@Jac- do you mean "right click on the Bashed patch itself" or what?
-
To whom it may concern,
This one is an avid user of Wrye Bash, but doesn't use most of its features because the help file isn't very helpful when it comes to explaining them. In no particular order, here are some things he'd like to know.
*What do the different-colored checkboxes mean?
*How does one merge mods into a Bashed Patch? Can it even be done in the standalone version?
*What does it mean if the Python version won't even list installers when they're in the right folder?
Please link me to an idiot's guide or answer these questions in your reply. Many thanks.

Thank you, Jac. Do you happen to know what that perk's Editor ID is?
-
How would this one attach the changes in behavior to a perk or power? For instance, suppose he made a perk that stops deer from fleeing when the player approaches.
-
You can probably just have the beginner say his/her dialogue then disable his/herself through the dialogue.
"Disable yourself!" sounds faintly like an insult...
-
It is a puzzle most perplexing- why 32-bit programs are also referred to as "x86". Could some kind stranger explain this phenomenon?
-
Nice to meet you, Brohanga. May I ask what mod you used to display that elegant little clock? Oh, and have a cookie on the house.
-
Thank you both. Eventually this one will get around to properly configuring Blender...

Hello! I have a few questions about Lesson 1. First of all: Rider said we can make our cell a tavern or a home. If it's the latter, should the "public space" box be unticked?
Secondly, is it all right to include a child's bed? There's nothing in the thread either way, so unless told otherwise I'll assume it's fine. :-)
