Those damn spades are everywhere!
everywhere cause they're the perfect touch! You did an awesome job on them IS!

Poking about with cluttering some of the small areas I've skipped til now. This is the Head Excavator's tent....well she's outside occupied and Red took it upon herself to peak at her notes. heh.

Sorta like a prom dress, eh?
<snort> <giggle>
Sorry! Couldn't resist. it was the way you phrased it.
Well... anyway... exiting stage left
Come're Ed. LOL

Too bad he had to die. Is it just me or does every character he plays die?
Seriously. I even knew it was coming from reading the books and it STILL sucked! LOL
Truthfully, I thought the books were quite bad, but the show is another matter. Lots of fun, thanks to a fantastic cast, and snappy set design. It will make for a great weekend TV marathon eventually, the kind where you eat nothing but frozen pizza and never get out of your footy PJs.
Mr Guru tried to read them and got bored. All the political intrigue made his eyes cross. I on the other hand LOVE that stuff. Eat it up.

Truly awesome scarf, Vyper!
I just found out that Torchwood will only be carried on Starz Network here in the US (A pay-cable channel.) Anybody know if episodes will be on the net? The BBC website is less than helpful.
I'd imagine it will be up on Hulu. Maybe Netflix.
...and that's my scarf. I made it. Woot!

Awwww that means my original account is finally going to be deleted. Rest in peace Furnier! Not like I can get back into it anyway. LOL No password and the email used to open it is loooooooong gone. Ah well. I'm gonna miss it.

I watched the whole first season, but now really regret not reading the book/s first. Do you think its too late or will I still be able to enjoy the novels?
I was very impressed with the soundtrack. As soon as I can get my hands on it, it is going into my Oblivion music folder.
If anything, now reading the books will be even more enjoyable with actual faces to put on the characters, and decors and environments.
Yep Meo's right. Reading the books now will only be that much better. I rather enjoyed reading them and having Sean Bean in my head reading about Eddard Stark.
Actually... I prefer it other way around. I always find films vague compared to books, for example Harry Plotter as most obvious and first one I could remember... Films were like 50% of book content and the quality went downward with each film IMO.
Oh lord don't get me started on Harry Potter films. The fourth movie was just....I can't say what I think without bleeping every other word.
I have read all the books and it's hands down my favorite fantasy series. It's a very believable world that George Martin has created. I have good hopes for the series, but have to wait a bit as I'm in The Netherlands.
I think you'll love it StarX! They've done an amazing job staying faithful.

I havent read the books, but after watching it on tv, i will.
I had never read them til I saw the first episode. That made me have to go out and find them and once I started reading, I couldn't put them down.

That second picture would make for a beastly wall hanging.
Totally. Sean Bean makes Eddard Stark impressive.

Season Finale
Okay, having just watched the finale I have to say they did a brilliant job bringing this to life! The only thing I would liked to have seen that didn't make it from the book is Khal Drogo's spirit rising up from the bonfire on his horse to smile down at Dani before riding off. The Dragons look AMAZING
Next season is gonna be fun from a special effects point of view. -

Here's a traditional recipe from my family.
Step 1: Locate a package of ramen noodles. Not that crappy 50 cent apiece store stuff, but prime 12 cent packets bought by the crate.
2: Open the packet, dump into bowl.
3. Eat raw.
Delicious!
I snack on this ALL the time! Makes great modding food! I break em up and pour the powder on em. Mmmmm

Oh holy crap Stoney that sounds amazing!!! I'm telling Mr Guru about this as we speak!!

My family's been making a bastard version of Ghoulash for decades. Basically elbow noodles, some form of ground, browned meat, corn, onions, garlic, peppers, in a spaghetti sauce and cooked for several hours. Made some today actually with yesterdays left over spaghetti sauce!
And Calamari is the king of delicious seafood
Also Worcestershire DOES make almost everything better.

I saw this fruit display at the old folks home I worked at years ago.
That is awesome!!
I`m pretty simple in my tastes...if i make it..it`s usually good. ...Here`s what I`ve been doing lately...in a 23 quart stock pot.
Coming over for dinner don!
Graham crackers with cake icing, ice cream with soda in it, pizza, and doughnuts. Also known as why I'm not gonna make it to 20 without having a heart attack.
Nothing wrong with a heart attack on a plate! I hope.

Wait, is that Louisiana Hot Sauce on the table behind you?
Yes, yes it is. My favorite condiment.

I've just made and enjoyed a dinner I've been craving for a damn week. Spaghetti. Made some amazing Garlic sauce with ground turkey in it over noodles with some lovely buttery rolls. Now enjoying that euphoric, I got my craving, feeling.

I read that as chocolate curry. I dunno if that's even a thing.
If it's not it bloody well should be! LOL

Anyone who's been in the Shoutbox for more than an hour is no doubt aware that we TESA forumites default too...on any subject at any time no matter how fascinating the conversation.....Food. We love food in a way generally reserved for mistresses and small furry animals. We understand that food is more than just something to stuff your face with. It's comfort and fun and bliss.
So strap on your bib and pull up a stool and discuss that which we all secretly, or not so secretly, love most on any given day. Food. Talk food, share favorite recipes, give us a review of the last restaurant you went too, whatever tickles your taste buds.

Oh forgot to mention...I finished it.

Ok a bit of personal silliness. My friend made me make a video confessing my ham like nature for all the world. Which, being the huge ham I am, I didn't argue much.

Looking good Bubbles!
Just taking a new shade of red for a test drive here. Called "Chocolate Cherry"

Yep the over arching story is not new to Doctor Who. It's been around since...the Second Doctor was it? With the Daleks chase through time series of eps.
I'm twitching already. I hate mid season breaks. I admit, I was a bit blind. I knew River had to be someone special but...I didn't see that coming. I was pleasantly shocked! LOL
