I'm with you on the Live thing. Real pain in the ass.
If you thought patch 1.6 was good, you should get patch 1.7. That one fixes all the annoying junk except the occasional mismatched skin tones for non-caucasian characters in mods. Hopefully that'll get fixed too and then FO3 would be just about perfect.
-
Just a but annoyed on how much Beth has failed its customers.
I don't know that I'd go quite that far. The game has some rough spots, but none of the problems you described plagued me at all and I for one happen to think the engine improvements behind FO3 were many and massive and did a lot more right than wrong. The storyline was weak, but in terms of technical stuff, it was easily as stable as Morrowind for me. Never once had to deal with the crash happy stuff people kept reporting. Even after bulking up on hi-res texture packs for it.
-
And that right there is why there's never a substitute for good old fashioned plastic discs
-
Yep. Once more a good reason for folks to be mirroring their content on more than one site. Human error took it down this time and one slip-up could have made it much MUCH worse than it is thus far.

They've been failing long before the silly name change. They made a mockery of trying to follow Battlestar Galactica because of their scheduling lunacy. They really seem more interested in wrestling and B-movie creature flicks than actual interesting science fiction.
-
Well thankfully they stopped the flashback junk in the second hour. I agree the whole thing seems a bit weakly put together but I'm hoping things improve later. There's nothing else worth watching on Fridays anyway, so they better fix it.
I hate the way Sci-Fi does their scheduling and production. I'm annoyed by the fact that Eureka is already back on hiatus, but it's not like they don't do this with every show they run.

Oh, nice, B key, where have you been all my life!
Seriously, that just saved me a big fat hassle for cutting arwelkyndarch01.nif into two pieces. Can you believe Bethesda didn't give us the two halves standard? They add so much character to an Ayleid ruin.
-
Still plugging away. Remind me never to get too crazy with Ayleid ruin dungeons again - the perfectionist in me keeps finding little bits to mess with!
Outlines for the quests are written up now. I think I'll get the IC and Anvil stuff done and in place before running off to build another one.
StarX: Was wondering if there was any word on the tattered versions of the DB black hand banner?
-
That is correct.

What does Hirrus Clutumnus want the player to do upon arriving in Crucible?
-
The first part of the answer is "Flesh". I'll guess that the second part is because it was useful in building the Gatekeeper.
-
Yes, those do look a lot better. This village is really coming along nicely. Looking forward to adding one that I didn't build

No apartment hunt is complete until you go to view the one with the bullet holes in the front wall facing the courtyard. That's how you know you're living in style
-
Correct. Next question is yours

Having spent a long night at work, I had barely been asleep for two hours when my housemates rolled me out to tell me what happened. I was way too tired to understand what they said at first, but as I stumbled into the front room, there it was. Not 5 minutes later on live TV, the second plane hit and everyone was just stunned.
I remember the reporters were speculating about the first hit possibly being an accident, but the moment the second one struck the other tower, we all knew. They all knew. The reporters were floored and had no idea what to say or do, they just watched in horror along with the rest of us.
On that day, there were no politics, there was no backbiting, no sniping. Just people coming together in a way I'd never seen before in my entire life. I stayed out in the front room until I couldn't stay awake any longer.
Never Forget.

If your factions are defined in a new file of their own and your NPCs reference those, it's not going to let you move them to a new master file without some trickery. I've done stuff like what you need done before but I'm lousy at explaining processes that involve exotic procedures. This isn't a simple copy/paste operation.

One must be careful in how far to push a fight like that. If the guy wants to sell out badly enough, at some point he'll no longer care about the law. Best bet is to get out while you still have your property intact. A friend of mine learned this lesson the hard way when he fought back against an illegal eviction notice and dragged the guy into court. Well, while they were all in front of the judge (nice alibi) the entire complex burned to the ground under suspicious circumstances. Nobody was ever able to prove anything, but we all know what happened. Turned out the complex itself wasn't the cash cow the guy had, it was the land underneath that greedy developers wanted for yet another strip mall. So he got paid by the developers for the land, AND cashed in on the insurance for the buildings, AND got rid of all the people who wouldn't leave.
So don't let that happen. I hate to see people get screwed like that.

Perfect. Those are great. Was able to do a slight bit of cleanup on the red speckles by cutting bits out of the original texture to cover those over. It came out good in nifskope, just need to grab a shot in-game. Wish I'd saved at the same position the gallery shot is in
-
Excellent, how should I get the files to you?
Link it to 4shared or Megaupload or something and I'll grab it from there.
-
Heh, got me, but the-manta gets to ask the next question
-
A master file with common resources is definitely the way to go. If only to help you keep your sanity about things that many modules need to use, otherwise you end up with mass duplication and that's never fun.

Well fortunately unless you've made changes to places, the only UL that's going to give us fits is Cheydinhal Falls. Gorgeous, but most definitely in the way
ULs for Fallout 3 eh? I bet if someone proposed it there'd be at least a bit of interest. Probably not under the official UL banner since we still haven't filled up Cyrodiil yet but I'm sure someone could start the ball rolling!

Ah, well, I can't speak for stability on the PS3. I play on PC
