  1. Unless I'm missing something in my test install, NMM stores all the mod data within the Oblivion folder. So MOM should have no trouble at all with it. NMM will not even realize you've got a second install. OBMM is entirely fooled by it too, assuming OBMM isn't installed weirdly.
  2. Plus the Nexus entry is severely out of date and shouldn't be used. It's had several important fixes since then.
  3. As long as the mod no longer has references to the files, TES4Files will leave them out.
  4. Oh, well then I don't need to fix the rock
  5. Fixing that rock in RST won't really help. If CoA is deleting it, it'll remain deleted. The patch will need to restore it to position.
  6. Only save I had was at the beginning of the level and it was rather difficult just to get the 3 to show up where they did. #4 wasn't dead. Pulling him out of an AI screwup isn't cheating Also, my game has always crashed whenever trying to reload in the same cell as a save. So it's not really that much faster for me.
  7. Yeah, that would be immensely helpful In the meantime, CS to the rescue. Stones were right where they were supposed to be. Temporary doors ftw.
  8. Oh boy. How the heck did I manage this....
  9. I don't think that cell performs that function for items though. Only creatures and NPCs. Items in a container would still be valid as far as the game is concerned so there would be no need for them to get moved even if the container disappeared.
  10. No, I talked to him, but honestly I didn't even know he was a valid concern until a dialogue option came up about him. I did find him, but he CAN be bypassed so that's going to need fixing either way.
  11. I checked MQ04, not MQ07. MQ07 is at stage 100, and yes, stage 40 fired according to GetStageDone. She's fixed now though. Stage 10 in MQ07 apparently never got called so she was still disabled. I did a prid on her form reference, then enabled her, and now she's standing here waiting for me to walk up and talk.
  12. It's probably a miracle of epic proportions that NV works at all. Obsidian did all the work on that and they're about the only company I know of with an even worse track record for producing bugware than Bethesda. I've even been given to understand that their patches have only made things worse, not better. At least with Bethesda's own stuff the patches move toward actually fixing things. Unless you're Fallout 3 and the NPC skin color bug of course.
  13. Best to leave that crash preventer alone. Allowing an app to remain running in an unclean state is usually not a good idea. I wouldn't worry so much about Skyrim. I think the fact that Bethesda had the last 5 years to really get to know their target platform will mean it turns out for the better. Although I'm sure plenty of us wish their target platform was still the PC.
  14. When it rains, it pours: And yes, Dwip's general point about journal entries should be taken to heart. I understand where you're going with this and have myself tried to impose similar conditions in my earlier mods. It didn't end well. I usually had more questions about stuff than I was hoping for. I got stuck on the same thing with Bruin that Dwip did - I simply didn't recall where he said he was going to wait and gave up searching the city and was on my way to leave when there he was. I know it seems somewhat harsh, but I gave up the desire to keep notepads filled with clues after the Ultima series. This is part of why I've never managed to finish Ayleid Steps either. Not enough stuff in the journal now for me to even remember what I was doing. Windfall had this problem in spades and I had to guess at random on where to resume that quest when I picked it up several months later because the journals had no info and the structure of the mod made scouring the CS for clues almost impossible. I stumbled over my objective there entirely at random. I very nearly chucked Windfall out of my load order before completing it because of this. I don't want RST to end up being the next victim of this problem - and I'll be totally frank - it's already getting that way because I've had to stop, exit, check the wiki, and when that doesn't help check the CS instead in order to know what I missed. I am with you on the desire to leave out the Bethesda GPS System though. I don't much care for it except in cases where you should absolutely know where the target is anyway.
  15. Auryga, this GUI of yours is a godsend! All of the pain of the process has been removed
  16. Steam's EULA still leaves the possibility open for them to do a lot more than just achievements and client time usage. Seriously, if people are going to complain about EA and their terms, I don't see why an equal amount of anger isn't being directed at the 900 pound gorilla in the room that has been doing it for years with the same terms.
  17. There hasn't been any direct evidence (yet) that Steam tracks more than just your usage time in the client. That doesn't mean it won't though. Valve's EULA contains all of the same legalese that would allow them to track "user generated content" via their statistics and other data. Put simply, yes, they're exactly as bad as EA and the Origin system. As a DRM suite, Steamworks is utterly useless. New Vegas was cracked 2 days prior to release. Deus Ex:HR was cracked the day before release. I fully expect to hear of people having cracked Skyrim and enjoying it without the hassles involved long before any of us actually get to touch it.
  18. Slight AI oddity. Not sure how it happened or if it'll repeat later, but... At which point he set sites for Sancre Tor again. Bizarre, and not sure if it's even something you can fix. The AI pack shouldn't have sent him in there to begin with.
  19. Yep, the beacon was in its original spot. Odd, because I hadn't visited the Arboretum after installing RST, at least not that I recall.
