Did the first scene in the inn correctly finish and Evangeline talked to you and you let her join?

This is a bit hard to understand. When Arren dies and his ghost dies, then the dialogue appears at the church to resurrect Arren. It may be possible that his Ghost died, too, very fast so you did not see it occuring.

But Arren should not resurrect on his own in this case. Can you reproduce this and tell me what you have done?

Do a setstage arrenquestfollow 10.

This way you get the quest and questtarget. You should get this quest anyhow as soon as you tell Arren to wait somewhere.

What do you mean exactly? When Arren is dead, the summon spell does not work. correct.

You can see where Arren is by the quest "Where is Arren". It has a questmarker.
