Hello forum, By far I am no expert with - TES Construction Set, but I have been playing around with it. I wish to learn more. Is there any modders out there who I could get in touch with directly? Or watch a video stream of theirs? Perhaps receive lessons from? Total Conversion Mod My dream someday would be to create my very own total conversion mod, entirely separate from the Elder Scrolls lore and Tamriel. The world space would be of an island nation (hopefully of a decent enough size), with weather patterns somewhat resembling real-life England and Scotland. The northern lands would be colder and more hilly, whilst the southern lands would be warmer and more flat. I would like to aim towards a minimum of 3 main cities, followed by towns, settlements and villages. I plan to use TES IV: Oblivion assets, a gutted out ESM file. If others were interested in my project, I would love to establish a team of volunteers too. Together we could all contribute towards the project in many ways such as skills, ideas, level design, etc. There are many individuals who actually love working on TES Construction Set, who may like to work on another project.

I have the following script that grabs an RGB array from a quest script and then pass it to a light to change its color. For some reason, the light does not appear ingame (even though it has a bright red default color) but it does show if I open the console or the inventory. I did use update3D but to no avail. Script :

Silly question: I have a scene in which I need to place some NPC corpses in an outdoor cell. I place them in the CS, holding them a bit above the ground and then running Havok simulation to rag doll them onto the terrain. When visiting them in the game, they are sometimes in the correct location, and sometimes partially sticking into the ground, and other times entirely underground and out of sight. Is there any way to prevent this? Thanks for any suggestions!

Hello. I'm hoping to use this mod to differentiate between Oblivion and other .esp files. Does anyone know how to associate the files with the icon? Regards, Tigersong.

If someone could answer this question, I'd be grateful. How does one install the CS with the Steam version of Morrowind?

I'm looking for feedback on extending the 38-character player response dialog length in the CS to allow more nuanced responses from the player. With the 38-character "clunky console limit", it seems like your responses are limited to "Yes", "No", "Grunt", and "Ugh". There is an article on the CS wiki documenting how to increase the 38-character limit, and indicating that the *game* will accept longer text without INI file changes (something that I consider a sine-qua-non requirement of our mod...we don't want to add that extra complexity to the installation). What I'd like to know is, do other modders think this is okay to do, or is it a horrible idea? I'm thinking of going to either 50 or 60 characters. I really doubt anyone is running the PC version of the game on resolutions so low that these lengths would be a problem. Comments?

I know Oblivion is older but I would still like to mod it since I don't own Skyrim. Here's my problem I installed the CS on the computer Oblivion is on. I got the file off of The Elder Scrolls Construction Set Wiki. Every time I open the construction set it immediately crashes and says TES construction set has stopped working windows is searching for a solution. Then it gives me the option to close the window. This happens for version 1 and 1.2.404. The computer specs needed are -Minimum System Requirements: * Windows XP * 512MB System RAM * 2 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor * 8x DVD-ROM Drive * 4.6 GB free hard disk space * DirectX 9.0c (included) * 128MB Direct3D Compatible Video card and DirectX 9.0 compatible driver * DirectX 8.1 Compatible Sound Card * Keyboard, Mouse My system has * Windows 7 * 3.0 Gb ram * Intel core 2 quad CPU with 2.4 GHz * Not sure about DVD-ROM drive but I have one. * I have plenty of hard drive * I have the Intel g33/g31 express chipset family * Not sure about sound card but I don't think it would affect the boot up Any help you could give would be great because I'm stumped.
