Blender question

I have another question, I made a sewer tunnel that the player is going to walk/swim through, but when I try to UV map it, i can't do it without the texture getting all stretched and ugly, and it's really difficult to try to mark a seam on the mesh to UV map it that way.

Anyone got any tips on how to make this easier?

What you have is basically a variable diameter tube.  AFAIK the only practical way to UV map it is to make a seam along the length of the tube.  Just select an edge loop and mark it--it's not that hard.  Once you do that, the mapping is basically straigntening out the map and adjusting for the variable diameter (width).  If you don't like the result with Angle Based mapping, try Conformal.  Good luck.

Ya, UV mapping is a real... pain... and the more curves you have, the harder it is. You really just have to practice. If you look at how Beth UV maps their models, you see they cut it up as much as possible. I mean, theres like no unused space on their textures/UVs.
