Inar the Beggar stuck (Heart of Dead)

I'm patched to 6.2. I talked to Inar in Bruma and followed him, he took me to a bedroll beside the Tap and Tack and stopped. I waited. Nothing happened. I save and attacked him, after yielding, noting happened. I knocked him out, Nothing happened. Every time I tried to talk to him he just said "Follow me."

I think this is a not so uncommon bug. LOL Two things you can try, load an earlier save before you entered Bruma and see if he'll work then. You can also try this console code using setstage HOD02 15. You could also try bumping HotD to the end of your load order. If Inar works properly then you'll know it's a mod conflict causing the issue.

Okie day, thanks Red.... Damn, I wanted to be able to hold you accountable for something (seeing as you linked me to this mod).

Great suggestions, by the way. As I was walking through Bruma with him it became a believable city, there were crowds of people everywhere, and the air was buzzing with conversation, little bits of it shifting in and out of audibility. Thanks a lot for those links.

Oh, and what levels should I do HOD, LSOTA and Lost Spires at?

You're most welcome! I love the crowded cities mod. The cities were just too damn empty. As for level suggestion, anything over the high teens I'd say. Some levels and bosses in all three mods can be very tough on weaker characters.

I figured out the problem: Open Cities. When he uses the AI door he doesn't exit, he just re appears, so he thinks he's outside, but he's really inside....

Ah ha! That will do it! I wonder if there's a patch for OC and HotD. I'll have to have a look.

And after having a look, no there isn't. Make a post here in the OC Classic thread: http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1077381&hl telling about the conflict and asking for a patch if possible.

Arthmoor is very good about that sort of thing if he has the time.

HoD isn't supposed to need a patch. It already has the support integrated in it. I'll have to check and see if something has gone wrong and if it has let Middark know it needs to be fixed.

Also, it cannot go below Open Cities or that support will end up breaking.
