Can someone please list the steps I would have to take when making a sword and a piece of armor assuming that armor would have more steps then a sword of course... I´ve read some of the tutorials already I was just wondering if someone could do this because It would be easier for me if I can see the steps in order and in as few words as possible... >_>

For a Weapon

1. Make the model in Blender.

2. UV Map it (Something I still don´t quite understand so if someone would be willing to guide me step by step while I do it for the first time would be awesome :o )

3. Blah blah blah.

Thanks in advance and hope you guys have a merry Christmas.

OK in brief. ;)

For a weapon.

Create the geometry (3d app of your choice, probably Blender).

UV map it (same app).

Create the texture (2d app of your choice, probably Gimp).

Export the model from your 3d app.

Clean it up in NifScope and add collision (you can do it before export in your 3d app if you prefer).

Add it to the game (TES IV Construction Set).

For armor.

Import the Oblivion skeleton.

Create the geometry.

UV map it.

Create the texture.

Rig the geometry to your skeleton.

Export the model from your 3d app.

Clean it up in NifScope (probably nothing really required here with the newer exporter).

Export an unrigged version as your ground model (probably have to alter the geometry slightly, holes in the top of boots etc.)

Add it to the game.

This is a VERY brief overview of the steps required.

Good Luck, :o
