It depends on what you do with the retextures. If they're just available for the main character to purchase, it wouldn't interest me too much personally. If you add the variant's to existing leveled lists so the NPCs you run across in the world are more varied I think it's an excellent idea.

Good luck however you decide to progress with it.

I was thinking of doing this, but I don't really know how. I'm still very knew to modding, so if I learn this along the way then I'll surely do this. The vanilla leveled lists were very bland, imo.

Hey, if you want to make something cool, I'll happily model it for you. Especially for Skyrim. Just draw up some orthographic concept sketches, and send them my way.
