[SKY] Questions for Blender People

I have an armor, and I want it so that the armor doesn't replace his skin. By this I mean that the character has a re-textured skin underneath the armor that is part of his race, and I don't want that part to change. How do I accomplish this? Right now it keeps replacing his skin with weird shiny stuff.

G'day Il_Ducey. If your armour appears in-game and moves correctly, then I believe your blender problems are over for now. This sounds a lot to me like a nifskope problem. I have yet to try working with body parts, but the first thing I would check is that your texture paths are correct. Then (if they are) I would try copying the BSLightingShaderProperty from a vanilla body NiTriShape, and attatching it to your one.

If that doesn't work, then this tutorial on nexus has info on creating the right shader properties for bodies from scratch.

Hope this helps, good luck!

Two things: It doesn't move correctly in game. I need to re-do the weight painting, as copying it from another armor has not worked. I don't know how to do hand weight painting, so if anyone knows of a good tut, please tell me.

Second: I've tried pointing all the textures and even getting the node from another armor (just the Malebody_0) and none of it works. I either wind up with a black body with no textures, or weird shiny textures. I have no idea whats going on.
