[SKY] New Modder Hoping to Get Started

Hi, I am a new modder, trying to get started with modding, so please forgive me if any questions are bad ones.

I am planning on going small on my first mod and plan on getting bigger, starting by adding a new player home outside of Whiterun, but the are a few issued.

So i downloaded a few of the resources found here on the TESA and I am having a hard time getting to new resource items on the creation kit.

i downloaded and put in in my data folder, is there something i am doing wrong.

Again, sorry if this is common knowledge, but i wouldn't even know were to search to find the answer.

Oh, and one more thing

I see that the members of the TESA love 's so i think (and hope) to get along quite well with all of you.

Welcome to TESA, VRSquared.

As a new modder, I highly recommend you start with the Creation Kit Basics lessons before attempting more advanced modding of adding other resources to get you familiar with the CK.

If that doesn't appeal to you, then you'll have to be more specific about what the "hard time" is. Any and all resources need to be created by you in the CK before you can use them in a mod.

i know the creation kit basics (thank you for the pointer). but the problem is, i cannot get the resources(the ones from the download section) IN the creation kit to use in my mod.

and yes, i also looked it over anyways to see if something could help me, and it did, but not with my problem
