Modders needed to complete Black Marsh

This is just a quick message to request assistance for the impending release of Black Marsh beta. If you wish to find out more, please go check out our Facebook page here. We also have a TesNexus and Bethesda forums page and our trailer on youtube

As some may already know, we have been trying to get a release over this year but sadly the small numbers of people in the team keeps pushing back the release date. We currently have over half a worldspace almost totally complete with around 98% interiors, 96% towns, 90% dungeons and a truly vast collection of new items that are completely unique to the mod, including creatures etc. Most of what remains of the physical modding I can handle myself but we are short or overworked in some crucial areas.

As yet, we are most in need of quest modders, scripters and modellers to finalise plans besides needing someone to help out a little with establishing the in-game map. All scripts and models requiring completion are listed on our own forums and I am in the process of finishing the writing of the quest ideas already developed.

If you can help or know of anyone who can assist, please send me a PM or get in touch via Facebook (preferred method) but please: no timewasters! We've had enough of them but even if your contribution is small, it WILL be credited and greatly appreciated.

I have a huge amount on my plate right now with the Knights of the Nine: Revelation Expansion Pack, offering to help with the Tavern Mod and battling illness at the same time.

But once all that is out of the way, Black Marsh is a mod that I would love to see completed!

I will have time to help with 1 or 2 specific things. Basically what I'm saying is I will make time to help you so you can get your project out the door :D.

Right now I can:

* Create quests

* Script (simple event scripting to item swap scripting to a few effects)

* Model - not my biggest skill but I'm getting pretty good at making monsters and armor sets

* Rigging - I'm kind of new to rigging but I needed to learn this to animate the stuff I've been making without rigs already present.

* Weight Painting - one of my strongest skills. I HATE CLIPPING.

* Texture - I started by retexturing but since I've learned to model I've also been hardcore learning UV mapping and also making normals and speculars. I own a copy of CrazyBump as well.

* Animation - What I consider to be my best skill. Give me a rig, and I will make you something great :). If you want me to make an armature and rig... well that will take me a lot of time but it can be done. I can also make 2D animations in case you wanted an in-game clip of something... but expect to wait for a long time for something like that.

* Voice Act - Really depends on what you need though as I can only do a few character types and it's not a huge range.

Pick me one project to start and I will work on it for you.

That would be fantastic if you can help out. I'm familiar with some stuff you've done in the past so it's a no-brainer to welcome you to the team. If you can drop by our forums here, that would be ace. You will need to set up a profile if you're new to the site, of course.

That's a wonderful portfolio btw. We could use you for all sorts but we're trying to hold back on some of our own ambitions and to prioritise things for purely practical reasons....and as you have indicated, it's best to take one step at a time and not overcommit. Therefore, quests remain the singlemost important things right now and that's where I think your talents would be best used. Just fyi, quests would be followed by a few bits and pieces of scripting. Thereafter, if you have the time, there are some very interesting projects to work on such as the Sload and Sarpa creatures. Koniption has wanted to get this stuff done for some time but has struggled to balance her workload with RL. Some things, however, we may have to leave out for the beta release.

Personally, I'm more than happy with getting some more quests on the go so I'd be delighted and grateful to have you onboard. I hope to see you on our forums soon. I'll be back on there tomorrow.
