[SKY] Creating Glass Sheets

I was wondering how I could make some glass sheets to build structures such as aquariums, greenhouses, or sealing off a cabinet, but using only CK.

I don't know if it's helpful to you but there are shelves with see through glass on them in this modder's resource pack. You could have a look at those to see if they are any use at all.

EDIT: it seems that to make glass sheeting it'll require relying on some modder's resource.

I have sheets of glass in my mod, Levelers Tower. I made them as a new mesh, and your welcome to use them.

I took a floor piece that was a flat panel. I then edited it in Nifskope to add the transparency layer, added my own texture with transparency on it, and wa-la, a sheet of glass.

Another good idea!   Having done hacking a black plane to make a base for the wanted poster, where I should insert the transparency layer?

You can look at my glass pieces in the Levelers Tower. (Its on the nexus)

 

\Data\Meshes\WillieSea\LevelersTower\Clock\GlassSquare.nif

 

I added the 'NiAlphaProperty' to the 'NiTriShape' list.

 

I also added an environment texture to the Texture Set list.

 

On the 'BSLightingShaderProperty' I set the Alpha value to 0.2500.

 

There was probably other stuff I did too. I basically took a look at the glass bottle that holds the insects, and looked at how the glass part was created, then I made my own from another object.
