After the Shire Wars, the Count swore that a statue of him should never be raised. He demanded that the people build a university instead to honour him, and they did. Some time after his death, the people of Scarleyshire, one of the defeated shires, built a statue of the Great Count, though, this, to honour the man who had defeated them in the field of battle and been gracious in his victory. The old Count is probably turning in his grave when he sees the monument of him that now stands in the waters of a small lake in Scarleyshire. Castle Scarley is seen in the background.
