Scribbles only show in GIMP...everyone that has both PS and Gimp only see this in Gimp??

it looks like its been partly erased.

As to fix it, I would suggest trying to find another one from a clean source.

The checkered pattern is, of course, the canvas.

Just noticed that you said it only shows in GIMP.... Maybe GIMP doesn't like that armor :)

lol...ya everyone that has PS does not see this....BUT if someone that does NOT see it in PS opens the same file in Gimp..its there...??

This is not the only file i have had problems with...Grrr Gimped!...lol

Lilith sent me her file that does not show that...this is now the pic of her file...lol

I found out how to delete these lines.

In "layers" click on main surface and chose "add layer mask"

In the pop up menu for the mask chose "transfer layer's alpha channel"

Make sure that the mask is selected and chose "delete mask".

The lines are gone, the alpha channel is clear :blink:

Found another way to fix this....that doesn't require any delete ...

Open DDS file. Go to Channels, turn off RED , Green, & Blue , only leave the Alpha channel on. now Paint Black (for this dds the alpha is all black). as you paint black on the area the original pixels appear as if by magic.

Leaving the alpha channel as it was.

Just to let you know that even if you don't see them in PS, when you finish editing the texture and then put it on the nif the lines cut through the texture and make a mess of things. See my screenshot.
