welkynd test

The green ruby texture(which was actually inverted amusingly enough lol) and skyrim's black nordic metal texture. Personally? I don't care for it. As for the model I could realistically re-create beth's exactly but this is 200 years later... kind of expecting stuff to you know change.

For the bottom? I could just use the dwemer brass texture IF it's just a solid bit. not all broken up to match a certain mesh

With Meo's permission, you could also use the welkynd textures he made for Oblivion. I have versions that were color-matched to Oblivion stock here.

I would not expect Welkynd stones to have changed at all since Oblivion, because there haven't been any Ayleids around to make new ones, so any that exist would have existed then too. That isn't to say you have to make them look the same, though, just sayin'.

If Bethesda's file naming conventions are to be trusted, then the metal used in AR stuff was definitely iron.

That's that I was figuring and there IS a texture very close to the rusty metal in Oblivion. It's on the imperial floor candelabras. So I believe it is possible to use some vanilla textures of skyrim. I'll send Meo a line and see. I didn't think I could use modder resources from oblivion and port to skyrim. But apparently we can. So I'll see what can be done... while I won't try the tilesets yet(until I master the colission porting.) We just might have a lot of ayleid artifacts entering skyrim.
