So taking a break from Skyrim and modding I decided to see if my Oblivion game would still fire up, I've not looked at it in over a year. I made a few houses for Oblivion but the last two I never released. One of those two was a little beach house that sits on a tiny island near Anvil. Of all the houses I made, including the Skyrim ones, this is still my favorite little house. So for nostalgia's sake I decided to share a few screenshots of it.
I removed the windows from the interior house mesh so you could look "outside" and the windows were all given glass shutters that can be opened and closed. I added landscapes that could be viewed through all of the windows to give the place a very outdoors feel like a beach house would have. Trying to get those views to match what you would actually see if you could see the real exteriors was a bit of a challenge. This mod was my first experience with adding scripts and I scripted every darn thing! The lighting changes with time of day, seagulls fly around in the day and and disappear at night. Taps can be turned on and off and the sinks slowly fill with water and then drain away. Sun-rays shine through different windows depending on time of day, and a bunch of other timed events. I really had a lot of fun with this mod.
