I would like the metal parts from the guard back to be glossier, but they start to look less like metal if I do. I also tried a blond wood for the grip. I didn't look nearly as good as the dark wood. Sometime I may try to create a procedural texture to approximate bone, or possibly, mother of pearl, but that will have to wait for another day. So, this is as close as I can come to spirit of the dagger pictured in the upper left--for now.
