  1. I've been working on some rather large projects lately, and one thing that I've always asked but haven't really found a good answer for, is (for me at least) a pretty significant one:

When packing my archive during plug-in, that wonderful list pops up... more often than not, containing --- what looks like --- hundreds of files; mostly being vanilla.  I know whenever I use one of my statics or any external file, it needs to be archived, but, exactly which vanilla files are safe to remove from the archive list, and which are unavoidable; needing to be archived?

Just as an example.. say I make a static object from an existing model like a potion... do I need to package the files for that potion?  Or if I change the texture for one model to another texture set that is vanilla... I'm constantly worried that either I'll remove the wrong things, or make the mod in it's entirety way too large.

Any insight that might help out here?

  2. Is there any info on how to create mounts/horses?  I know they're classified [technically] as followers --- or at least that's what I've gathered on what little info I've found available on their creation up to this point --- but still seem to require a bit more in the way of creating new [mount] actors.

  3. Yes, I tested it on my PC with the only difference being that I had CBBE Slim and KS Hairdos enabled on my PC... on my XB1, I've just been running USSEP, Campfire, General Stores, XP32, and Alternate Start.

--added thought-- is it possible that I've tried getting the files to work so many times, that starting over from scratch would be my best solution at this point?  Or does it not matter?  I'm just wondering if it's possible that I've updated it so many times simply trying to pack and archive, pack and archive...

..........pray........ then pack some more...that I made a fudgie in the CK toilet bowl?

  4. I triple-checked, and I do have all of them.  The only archive that it created and shows as a bsa is the textures.  There's no sign of the meshes or scripts.  I know I created one of each before by just creating an archive without pushing it to BethNet, so I know they should've archived without issue.  It's just whenever I introduce textures, everything else seems to forget to save, maybe?  I dunno... I do know that I had a good portion of the NPCs faces fixed, but after this last attempt which included everything without a doubt in my mind, it sent the NPCs back to fudgly mode.

  5. So, I've successfully packed every NIF, DDS and PEX file for the mod... without the archiver taking a dump on my lap.... and got it loaded up to BethNet for XB1, but, 2 problems: the first is that I'm still missing certain assets that were packed for sure, and the second issue is that now the NPC facegens that I managed to fix before this last attempt, are all back to handfulls of ugly...
