    Figured it out! click NiTriStripsData line and highlight it - go to the Block details window, find the line that says HasVertex Colours, change it from yes to no. S.

    I built this model for the IOA project, consisting of already existing meshes from oblivion in Autodesk 3D max 2009: This is what it looks like in 3D MAX: Once I export it as and nif file, then import it to Nifskope this is what it looks like: Does anybody know how to correct this problem? Is there something I need to adjust? (ex. shader) Everytime its loaded into the CS the funky rainbow colours show up.

  5. Okay, after months on the back burner, Aestas is finally moving again. We ran into many problems, including this thing called reality. Sorry for any inconvience this might have caused anyone. I'll have the updated info post soon.

Here's a screen of what will be the Palace of Alinor in Summerset Isles, at about 15% construction on it so far: a hypnotic swirl of ramparts and impossibly high towers, designed to catch the light of the sun and break it to its component colours, which lie draped across its stones until you are thankful for nightfall" Landscaping has not been done, only work on the building so far which is far from complete.
  8. Thanks, I've been working a lot lately putting things together. As for the trailer, BGSM is working on my landscapes plus I want to show as much of the mod as possible. Sometime within this month hopefully the trailer will have everything in it, like for example Alinor City, and the Aestas landmass.

    This topic can be locked now, JDFan figured it out. "In Nifskpe you need to go to Block Details of the Nitexturing Property for the archway and change the APPLY MODE to APPLY_HILIGHT instead of apply_modulate ! " - JDFan

    Here is a better example of what i'm trying to do: I want to make the archway shiny like the obelisk, not flat and dull.

    This has been bugging me for awhile now so i hope someone hear can help me. I want to apply the shivering isles obelisk of order texture to some ayleid architecture, but i want the buildings to be glossy, shiny and reflective with the light like a diamond, obelisk, sapphire, etc. Every single time I do this though When put in the CS it is a flat non-shining object. If you know how to fix this please let me know so that work may resume on the mod. Thanks.
  14. Time for an update, its been a while now. The second trailer will be released soon, were finally getting all the footage put together so it won't be long. I'm trying to polish it to have the best possible effect. We've teamed up with the BGS Modders team so now hopefully things will pick up. I was hoping to get some new screens out last week, but that didn't happen so maybe this week. Other than that things have been going slow for the past few weeks. Hopefully I'll have something more interesting to update you with. S.
  15. The Reconstruction of the Aestas mod is complete, hopefully I will be able to add some new screenshots soon. see the first post for more info.
  16. Okay, some major changes to report... After a couple hours of discussion myself and Leahcim reached a major descision on the IOA project that will affect its future direction. He is responsible for building the original Aestas worldspace as seen in many of the screenshots. The amount of work being put into that island was becoming overwhelming and tedious. As of today the enitre IOA project is being restructured beginning with of course the island itself. The questline is being rewritten as well as the history. Disregard the IOA website as it is being changed soon. Within a couple weeks everything is being updated. Leahcim has all ready reconstructed most of the Aestas worldspace and trust me it looks promising. (and very HUGE , the new city myself and Leahcim designed is more beautiful than ever. I hope to post new screenies soon) The newly constructed IOA project will hold a lot more content thanks to the additional help, to give you an idea we will be expanded on the "Elements of the South" including parts of Pyandonea, Thras with a new non-playable race the Maormers and a possibility of a static sload creature race. Like I said, hopefully in the next two weeks I'll get more pictures and a firm story in. S.

  18. It was a lot of fun to take a break from the serious work. My group took ten minutes to throw this together. Enjoy! We originally made a music video but it doesn't work right now. (originally Nile-man and his arch-rival, WEST NILE-MAN, a giant Mosquito in tights) Here's the lyrics off the top of my head, they touch on everything the nile contributed to ancient egyptians; floods which happened in June, paper to write history, defense against invaders, traveling, etc. [align=center]NILEMAN Nile-man, Nile-man, does whatever a Nile-man can. Causes floods, yes he does. Brings grains for our brains, Look out its June again. Nile-man there he is, In a flash the sea's are clear. Upper here and lower there, Unites the kingdoms have no fear, Look out its June again. --- Uses water to grow the reeds, Brings the soil to plant the seeds, Look out its June again.   19. In our ancient civilizations class we had to create an "Owed to the Nile River" song for the teachers entertainment. My group decided to do a revamp on Spider-man theme, its now Nile-man.
  20. Work is moving slowly as of now. For the past few weeks I've been sick, plus very, very busy so I've had little time to work on Aestas. Its ISU time at our school and projects are being loaded on by the day. I'm still waiting for a few lines from a couple other people so I can make the next trailer. The mod should start picking up speed again once were into mid April. My helper will be handling most of the work on Aestas while I'm busy. Here's some recent updates: The City - Both above and underground parts of the city are well on their way to completion The Landmass- no vegetation yet put all the land creation is done Brand new statues made using 3D Max, 7 statues completed so far (will add screenshots soon) Retextured mr.siikas ships to white wood and added them to the harbour Hopefully I'll be back working on Aestas in a couple weeks. S.

  22. You better get use to it! lol This my first time using video editing software, so I'm slowly getting the hang of all this. From this point forward I will be releasing short story trailers every so often up till the release of the mod.
