Hello,
for many years ago I was introduced to Skyrim and played it a lot on the PS3. I have played a lot of RPG:s earlier so I just loved it (I cant stand games of the type "do that, do that, fight him, fight her"). There were a lot of things I thought was made wrong but mainly its a great game. Since I don't use Windows I could not use mods.
Ok, I might mention it, Im a programer by day. (Writer and musician by night)
Then Valve created Proton - a version of Wine Windows emulator made for running windows games om Linux. So I build a Steammachine, and decided to run Skyrim under Linux, with mods, and it has worked great. I decided to work with Oldrim and not SSE for stability and more mods. While Importing tools into the enviroment suddenly I was using the creation kit.
So, I made one realy simple mod just for testing https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1859568895
Now I have three modprojects - going into Scripting. Learning the strangest things: that saving a script means compiling - not saving, that someone realy can make a programing language with objects but not arrays, that the bugs in the vanilla game was realy small compared to what can hapen developing in this enviroment and that papyrus might have been the reason that great Egypt fell.
I joined here mainly because I need to understand the ck and mostly scripting to continue modding.
My projects are (for now):
A non fighting follower
A changed questline for the Companions
A mod to bypass the main quest
