I was confused at first until I realized that there are two weapons, one in front of the other. Really nicely done. If the texture includes a glow map, I bet they look way cool at night!
-
I think this is excellent just the way it is--including the sheath.
-
DaMage, that does look great. Can you tell us what enhancement mods you used?
-
Kit Rae's Elexorien! Nice work.
I see you're using Blender 2.63. How are you going to get it into Skyrim? Can you get the model into 2.49?
-
Thanks, guys. I haven't decided if I can use it in a game. The issue is how conventional weapons are held versus how this one needs to be held. I'm working on a spiral wrap grip and a pommel now.

Very Nice!

Nekranom and StarX, thanks for the kind words.
donnato, it seems a lot of things work better if you can minimize the triangles and long thin polys. Having almost all quads is especially important for sub-D modeling. Ideally, one's model should be all quads with the density of polys proportional to the local curvature. I think my awl (in this gallery) is the closest I've come to that so far.

That would be a worthy contribution to the Alliance. I look forward to it.

Those really are nice swords. I especially like the single bladed one.
-
Vou, we used to call what you described as a "splainer". You waved it around in your hand while you "splained" to someone to play nice or else.
Thank you all for your comments. I agree the pointy thing might be best as the tip of a mage's staff.

Would you show wires?
-
'Nice picture. Where did that sword come from?
-
Like donnato said, it looks more ceremonial than practical. Just the same, excellent work!
-
Very Nice! Did you create the texture? That's exceptional.
-
Is that something you made or part of a vanilla quest?
-
Wow! Morrowind never looked so good. Is that from Balmora looking East?
-
But, where does it go?
-
I would like to see this in Solid shading with Occlude background geometry on. It would be easier to see the wires that way. Just the same this is very good work. No, I would not want to UV map it, thank you very much!

I'm glad to hear that. That really is good work. I especially like the reptile-like skin cover on one of the books in your next gallery entry.
-
Very nice!

These look very nice. Are they new meshes or retexures that you made?
-
As always 1st class work. Also, as usual I've questioning the work in some way--mainly because I'm trying to do the same thing and I learn from what you've done. The distressing in general is very believable. However, other than the edges of what look like brass reinforcements in the left image, I don't see the extra wear along the edges that I would expect. What do you think?
-
I don't think I have ever seen a real book without text! Then again, you are being consistent with Oblivion.
-
StarX, let me preface my comment by stating that I think this work (all the books) is first class. However, there is one invisible elephant in the room: text.

Thank you all for your kind comments.
DarkRider, given my last name, could the name of my boats be anything else? Bounty I is my Boston Whaler, Bounty II was a Cape Dory Typhoon (in Bermuda now!), Bounty III was a Cape Dory 24.
