  1. Hello, I've been working on my first mod for SSE in recent downtime, and have been running into a slight problem. I'm trying to make an arrow enchanted with the dragonrend effect, and while I've done that, the only way I could see of doing this just through the CK is by using an "explosion" attached to the arrow. This in itself causes a pile of problems, because the arrow can affect multiple targets(which only becomes more likely because I seem to need a ridiculously large explosion radius to reliably affect dragons with the explosion), causes the arrow to disappear when it strikes a surface, and will aggro any enemy caught in the explosion's radius, incurring a bounty as if they'd been struck with real damage(this is absolutely linked to the explosion, not the magic effect. even when the explosion isn't set to apply an enchantment/magic effect, it still aggros NPCs). While I've found some information about fixing the last issue, the only thing I've found that works is ticking a box on the weapon firing the arrow setting it to be "non-hostile". This won't work, as the effect is meant to be caused by the arrow(if I only meant it to be fired from a single bow, I believe a lot of avenues would open up, but it's not what I want to do). The first 2 issues, I could live with, but if all of my issues stem from using an explosion, why not just cut out the explosion entirely? Unfortunately, I'm fairly certain this involves scripting, and although I've looked at a few basic tutorials, I haven't found any tutorials bridging the gap between "here's a basic button in the world you can push" and, I would suppose, a script that does whatever you want it to do. So, I suppose in part I'm looking for scripting advice (based on other forum threads, I think I may want to have a "perk" on the player? Something that starts up when equipping "arrow x", and then being able to deliver a magic effect directly to whatever you hit with arrow x, or, depending on how the game tracks these things, whatever you hit with a bow while arrow x is equipped). But if, miraculously, anyone can help me make an explosion that's non-hostile, that would be just as good.
