I voted for vanilla, but I missed an option: Play vanilla, add mods as you advance/like That would surely be the way I'd go, as for modding, never done anything real myself, have just made some private mods, my own house etc, I also had some fun with a worldspace and allot of tutorials, so there is allot of knowledge now, but all just basic. I am thinking of having a state of teh art computer when it hits, so maybe this time, I will be modding something for the public. I can't wait, it will surely be a loooong year, and there will probably not go one single day without me thinking of the game, and what mods that may come for it, and the plot for the main quest. Christmas will be a success this year afterall, with this new announcement

You might have a clue there, about the hair. When I use the face import to get that characters face on other new characters that work, I get the face and all extracted, but the hair get's randomized to something else. Will try this^^ Edit: Tried repairing the hair, it did not work

Hey there, will try out some of this, but note this: Showracemenu results in a CTD on that particular save. I may try to activate the main .esp for Ren's, I think maybe I had that activated aswell as the mein for Elaborate Eye's and the merge patch when I played that save a long time ago. Edit: Tried the things you came up with, nothing worked, still all the same problems.

The problem I am looking for is probably a texture replacer with no esp, and running Diff Masters only gets up esp and esm and stuff.

The save is Red, there are some mods that are not installed, but none that have anything with this problem to do. Peter, I will do that^^

Hello Had a thread on the official Tes forums about these problems: Oblivion Mods Forum Thread You can run through the thread if you want, but I'll explain here too. So the problems I'm having: First, I had this problem were my OB crashed before even the first intro on OB startup, it just went to desktop without even one error report. Found out the problem was Warglaives by jojjo, I deactivated it. And also, the biggest problem I have, is with my old save, trying to run it on my newly installed Oblivion. I have tried to make sure I have all the mods it was relied on. But I still have this problem were the body and facial textures are invisible. If I load the save when carrying armor, the armor shows, when unequipping the armor, it still show on the character, but only with a brighter HDR. I can unequip the armor, reload, then the armor is not visible as it should be when not equipped, but then you see that there is actualy no textures showing at all on the character, It's completely invisible. I can run other old saves, with other races, they work fine, but It's this save with my main character, she is a Mystic Elf, that has the problems. I can make a NEW save with a Mystic Elf, and it works though. When playing the old save with, Zanctillia, the Mystic Elf, I can go on the stats sub menu, and see that the Race sub category shows "Blank", or, nothing at all, when hovering my mouse over it, my OB goes into a CTD. I can however, start a new save, and import the facial textures of the save, and have it work for the face textures on another save. Also, when on my Zanctillia save, when entering combat, I get a CTD. Here is my load order: Hope anyone here can be of help, probably informative to read through the Oblivion Mods forum thread I linked.
