Modify the NPCs in a mod

Dubbelper posted a topic in Skyrim General

I would like to modify som of the NPCs in a mod I use. I used TES5Edit to flag it as a ESM-file ang saved my changes in my own mod, thinking it woul wors as it does wiht NPC modifired from Skyrim.esm and so on. But instead i generated a new NPC wiht the same name. Is there a way to modify a mod without acutually modding the mods files?

NPC Doesn't use outfit

I have created a NPC and created an outfit for her with armour from another mod. It looks fine in the prewiew but ingame the NPC is naked. What could be causing this? (The armour mod is enabled and I use the armour with one of my characters)
