  1. Not even counting now but we have a bunch more books now Goes pretty quick now that I have my 4 part book creation process figured out. Copy a book from the word document, run it through Tabula for formatting, then through Hawk for the final touches then into the CS
  2. 21 books now, just finished adding the 6 part set of Fool's Ebony
  3. True, they probably got lost in the Library reading the hundreds of books and scrolls and letters that will be kept there.
  4. Please IS, that is nothing...If you recall my Library word document is currently over 1800 pages long...Imagine how many in-game pages that will probably translate into, then you can be shocked That doesn't even count all the stuff that isn't in the document...
  5. Up to 9 written works in the CS now, the longest currently is 38 pages (in-game pages)
  6. The first three books...or rather letters, have been written into the CS. Three tiny pieces of Elder Scrolls history

That's it all right, my home and base of operations on Vardenfell Looked even better once I started adding things to it that I found or bought in my adventures...That fireplace ended up being my trophy display...The Hortator/Nerevarine items, the masks of the gods I killed and all sorts of other trophies
  8. Still in need of names for ships and for NPC's of all races. Name generators can only get me so far... Got the port about as cluttered as it is probably going to get, going to have a few lootable crates and such scattered about later on but most of the cargo is either aboard the ships or in the warehouses...not a good idea to leave valuable objects sitting around a busy dock for very long after all My current priorities for the Port are: Get some lamps put down to provide a little light at night, at least in the cargo areas if nothing else as well as some flames in the lighthouse braziers. Decide on what armor I want to use for the Port Guard from all the many choices. Get some appearance resources downloaded so I can start playing with NPC creation. As always, opinions, comments and ideas are always welcome
  9. I need ship names, I've got 3 right now but need at least 9 more to cover all the ships currently in port.
  10. Work is proceeding well on the Docks, despite a few annoying setbacks that required some rethinking. Currently adding the ships to the CS...At this moment the count is 16 different ships, think I am going to try for about 20
  11. Rosewood Island is a truly massive undertaking, the goal being to create a vast museum to showcase everything that Oblivion has to offer. The project's plans have grown over time, expanding and evolving to form into the floating port town of Rosewood, eventual home to shops, NPC's, temples and much more. I plan to keep the project gallery fairly up to date as I continue working: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/gallery/album/366-museum-of-nirn-project-gallery/
  12. Ok everyone, in light of recent events and a great many changes since July I have decided that with the new plans will come a new thread, Things have evolved so much since I started posting here that the thread doesn't truly fit the project anymore. So please keep an eye out for the new thread to begin
  13. I just had to restore an untouched version of the worldspace I am using for my Museum mod in order to get the land back. Rather then repeat my previous act of what amounted to steamrolling half the land flat, which really doesn't look very good at all. Instead I am hoping to find someone skilled with the Construction Set's landscaping tools to create something that will make the exterior as interesting and impressive as the interior will be. I am still working out an idea of what I would want but felt I should post as soon as possible to see if anybody would show any interest.
  14. Good news, Bad news time...Good news, I managed to restore the Island so we won't have to swim around the Museum. Bad news, restoring the Island required me to use a fresh version, meaning the place is untouched again. Like all the other disasters though I plan to (hopefully) use this one to my advantage.
  15. Ummm...Ok...Apparently those pirates stole the entire island when I wasn't looking...because it is gone...
  16. I think we'll still manage some pretty good stuff though Lilith
  17. Moving my focus back to the Library to begin book production while Don works on figuring out how to pose creatures
  18. The Museum is officially back on schedule! New Creature Halls are up and running
  19. The Library has been fully rebuilt and the Hall of Creatures should be restored tomorrow Also I am officially making the recovery of the stolen artifacts from the Golden Gecko a quest. Seems like one that would be fairly simple and not too troublesome to work on once I get that far. And of course there will be some sort of interesting reward for the brave souls who undertake the quest, just don't know what yet
  20. Geckos Ravage Museum Pirates invaded the Island today, namely the Argonian Captain Julaza and his ship the Golden Gecko. With a large part of the Island's guards away protecting expeditions and shipments the brigands were able to take everyone by surprise, capturing a number of crates from the docks and badly injuring several of the construction mages before the remaining guards could gather and drive them back to sea. The Head Curator has already summoned more guards from the Museum's mainland holdings to prevent any further attacks but the pirates have set the work back greatly. The entirety of the Hall of Creatures and the Library were lost to the void after the mages working on them were attacked. Fortunately nobody was inside them at the time so no lives were lost but the building work will take time to restore. Of far greater concern though is the loss of half a dozen crates of valuable objects stolen from the docks. The Curator has already sent notices out to every port in Tamriel, both to allow the guards to keep watch for the pirate's ship as well as to hire mercenaries and adventurers to recover the missing crates. (Yes, I did just turn horrible news into the potential for a quest...I don't even let disasters go to waste in this project.)
  21. Also have to say that I rather enjoy seeing other museums opening up throughout Tamriel.
  22. 25 bookshelves placed so far...think it will be enough for now at least. Had to remove part of the main library and make the extra cell into the reading room. But that is what extra cells are for, backup plans
  23. I am quite amused, find it funny that even though I made the rooms themselves larger the pedestals still have to be made smaller to fit right. At least finding a good height was fairly easy Nice black and white marble pedestals for the statues
  24. Thanks to Don's help I have nearly finished building the Hall of Creatures. The only area remaining is the Hall of Daedra, then I can start adding the statue pedestals in. Also finally decided what to do about golems in the Museum. I have made the decision that they will have a display area in the Tower of Magic rather then inside the Hall of Creatures. So the current areas that will have creature statues on display: Hall of Creatures Hall of Animals Hall of Undead Hall of Daedra Hall of Monsters Dwemer Hall Tower of Magic Hall of Golems
