I will be embarking on two projects this winter, to make new world spaces both quite large, ...and would welcome any advice...or links or suggestions for tutorials on World space making I have found two variations of the Oblvoiin WIKI one in english and one in Russian both of which have helpful articles on world making so it sounds doable... i was a bit afraid it might be too techincal but i see if one follows the steps carefully it can work pretty well. I have a height map for one project already that is very large so will probably seperate it into regions but the overall map will be big the other project is an Akevid Japanese themed one and will be smaller but will use a lot of new resources and collected items that have been created here and in Japan by the community. Both will be fun but long term. so i thought to ask for advice ...which will be very welcome. thanks in advance.
  2. ah ha, i may try that thanks...there are shadows in the landscape, because we can turn them on and off, but for the interior lighitng i will have to study it more. thanks again.

I have wondered for a while if it is possible to make a shape that will cast a shadow to place under tables...to that there is a shadow from lights above them..it looks weird to have light under a table... is there a way to make a rectangle or a square...ilke one of the canvases that we use for paintings...and then apply a opaque texture layer to it? so that it will cast a shadow or block light? any ideas on this? i will try using a painting to see if it works..of so then that will work for there are round paintings and other shapes and they wlll do the trick..but i hadnt tried it yet ...

OK i am going to try to add some of Mr Siikas anmiated birds to the game... to OB he created ravens and vultures that circle.... he says to make an activator and then add them that way, because you can add sound when i did that, i was able to select the Niff but when i placed it in the game nothing shows in the CS.... is it necessary to add the model as a creature as well and THEN create it as activator? i appreciate any help on this, as i do hope to add the seagulls too, and they were just Nifs that say animated... i did not see any AI animtaions for them...so do we have to CREATE the flying or the circling anmations? the niffs of both the vultures and the seagulls SAY they are animated..but i was not sure how that works ..if no animaiton shows on the AI list. Do i just set them on Wander?
  5. If i wanted to place deer how do you do it? it may not be possible..as it looks like they are generated from leveled lists and it may be raondom.. too bad as i do like them
  6. wow that is great, well i may try that at some point, but i still have quests to do so i think i will just deactivate and drag the ones i want to turn off underground that is great adivce thanks Arion!!! just what i needed to know. I LIKE the deer and such, just want to get rid of the nasties...i wonder if there is nay way to find out what they are? i will try looking at the properties...thanks again!!!! i just want peaceful roads for riding on, i dont mind the baddies in the bushes if htey will leave my horsie alone, they keep attacking my horse and it is not nice. !!
  7. OK i am starting a long held idea ..to edit out the bandits and monsters that lurk on the main roads..i want to be able to ride and explore peacefully. I see markers marked Bandit so that is easy but the monsters dont seem to have markers...i found some that say Lair, so i expect that spawns them...and can be removed. but what about the M Markers that say Forest or Swamp or something like that? what are they for? are they for the weather system? that was my guess. some of these markers have a direction arrow..so i thought maybe they were monster spawns too but they are named for natural regions... I dont want to mess up the climate or the game just get rid of the pesky spawns for the trolls, minotaurs, sprigans and the like. I am tired of having to stop to kill them each time i ride thru because my companion likes to fight ... thanks for advice on this. it was odd i thought that the monsters did nt have spawn markers but i guess the lairs is for some of them. I was wondering how the deer and the natural animals are shown on the map? i havent seen them but i often see them runing around near the roads so that was suprising to not come across markers for them...

    Red Checked Table Cloth On a Lower Class Round Table crisG9 ------------------------------------------------------------------ This is a modder's resource for Oblvion, created with thanks from a nice set of table clothes and table meshes by Argoniano, Zimnel and Kalikut, thanks to them all for a lovely addition to the world of Cyrodil This table and cloth is something i have wanted for my mods for Oblvion for ages, and finally got around to making it, now your cabin or hovel or retreat can be bright and cheerful. I will make a picnic table and picnic blanket version soon. enjoy Permissions: You may use this in any Oblvion Mod but you may not sell, rent or barter this for any price of any kind, it is for free use of the community. All meshes and textures from the original game are from that game and are copyright Bethesday SoftWorks. The table Cloth texture was a free resource found on the internet copyright free and the re-texture was by me. Installation: You will have to add this to your mod or your install by placing the meshes and textures foldere into your Oblvion install into the Data folder and you may have to reset the link with Nifscope if you use them in a custom mod. The resource is intended to use in house building and is set as a complement for furnishing. What is a table without its cloth? Boring, isn't it? The resource consists in 119 nif with original tablecloth meshes made by Argoniano. This tablecloths are set on vanilla tables, but it exists an easter-egg, a brand-new model of table with and without tablecloth for the moder to decide which one will use. We also have five new models of custom curtains. *119 table models with their tablecloths on: -lowerclasstable -mageguilddesk -middledrawers -middletable -middletableround -upperdrawer -uppertable *1 brand new table model (mesilla01.nif). *6 custom curtain models (Kalcustom folder). *14 curtain models with custom new bar (Zym folder). The magesguilddesk tablecloth comes in two versions, one with arcane symbol and other without it. The symbol version has an independent uv mapping; that allows the modder to change the texture there.
