  1. Thanks. I didn't know that about the console, that's good advice I will try it out. I'll also try that, good one my friend!
  2. I'm a little late into this thread but Vyper, you done good here! A very enjoyable OP. 10/10!
  3. Thanks for all the advice guys, I'm still having problems though I guess I'll just have to keep trying, I don't think there's an easy way with this issue (I've been searching the web quite a bit yesterday and this morning).
  4. Thank you all for the replies. I have been finding that the map disappears when I navigate to certain areas. This is a problem as I am trying to place my camp quite a distance from Sheagorath's shrine. Why does the map do this?
  5. Does anyone know how to place mods outside Cyrodiil's borders? (i.e. I want to make a new bandit camp due west of Sheogorath's Shrine and have removed all border regions so I will be able to access the area BUT how do I place my objects (the camp itself) in this area? As I say, it's due west of the shrine, about 100 feet. I have the camp items ready and a few bandits but can't place them. I looked in Worldspace>Tamriel and can't find what I'm looking for and I've noticed it's difficult to manually navigate where I want to go also. Any suggestions welcome.
  6. Vyper, thanks man, what an excellent script, it worked PERFECTLY. I also found that when my enchanted sword had used all 15 uses, that the script recognised this and the fire effect ceased to work (just like it KNEW when it needed to be recharged). How did you accomplish all this my man? This script is fantastic! Thank you so much again, I am going to favourite this thread so I can use it for future reference. (I'm pasting this message over at Bethsoft too, just to keep things even).
  7. Welcome to TESA! :D

  8. Thanks for the welcome again, I appreciate them.
  9. I am trying to make a sword mod in the Construction Set that does fire damage and magicka damage but I just can't figure out how to get my enemies to look as if they are on fire! All that happens is a black/red mist covers them (probably from the damage magicka effect) but I need to have them on fire. I know the Sword of the Crusader has fire damage and magicka damage, AND it sets enemies on fire when they are struck, but how can this be so when my custom sword doesn't work? AND the Sword of the Crusader has it's magicka value MORE than it's fire value, yet the fire STILL shows. So it can't be a simple solution of setting one value (I.e. fire) higher than the other, right? I've been having this discussion over at bethsoft and you can see some of the replies (ongoing) here: http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1093344-stuck-need-help-with-a-sword/ Please help/give additional info as this issue is driving me nuts!
  10. Thank you all for the welcome. I will check the link Beana, and post my question there. Much appreciated
  11. Hi, I'm new to this place (new to forums actually as this is only second one I have joined in my life), and I just wanted to introduce myself, I'm Randy. I've been playing Oblivion for a while now and am interested in modding. I've been tinkering about with the construction set mostly and getting familiar with it. When I get some decent ideas I will attempt to make my own. But that's some way away yet, right now I'm just trying to get the basics. Which brings me to this problem: I am trying to make my own sword mod in the Construction Set that does fire damage and magicka damage but I just can't figure out how to get my enemies to look as if they are on fire! All that happens is a black/red mist covers them (probably from the damage magicka effect) but I need to have them on fire. I set the fire duration for 5 secs also yet this doesn't seem to have any effect. I know the Sword of the Crusader (which I can't seem to find in the CS for some reason) has fire damage and magicka damage, AND it sets enemies on fire when they are struck, but how can this be so when my custom sword doesn't work? I'm stuck. Anyway, I won't go on too much as this is mainly an intro post (I can't seem to find the appropriate sub forum for mod troubleshooting, can someone direct me to it, again, I'm new to forums and I am overwhelmed). I look forward to talking with you all and when I become an expert at this (fingers crossed) I look forward to giving something back to the community, Anyhow, thanks, Randy
