    doesn't like it when bears break onto my deck... *grumbles*... attrocious gun laws around here... not legal to discharge a firearm (but owning one is legal as long as it is registered)... oh well I suppose if I can get a compound bow that'd work if that bruin comes back (which it almost certainly will)

      But then you'd be left with the problem of what to do with a dead bear. Isn't there some way you can deter it instead of killing it?

      dead bear ain't no problem... bit time consuming its true... but very tasty :drool:...

      detering is fine if it goes away but it took almost all our apples (dirty thief) and is now breaking into sheds and decks... and I have livestock so starting to get er tense about.
