  1. yes but to disable and enable stuff and set ai packages... most disable and enable could be done with an enable parent... that would cut down on at least 200 lines. Pacific Morrowind
  2. though the colour that actually emits is that colour combined with the nif emiting colour of that item (viewable under nimaterialproperty, in the shape/strip, in nifskope). I often make the glowmap just greyscale and then set the colour in nifskope... lets the same glowmap be used with multiple colours... saving space. Pacific Morrowind
  3. Sounds good downloading... but why on Nexus? However that: sucks ! Couldn't you (of course more work then) just do a couple tiny(ie. around 300 lines I would think) scripts and have it only kick in when done the SI MQ? Pacific Morrowind
  4. haha me too (I mean :Veyond: ... if it is also accepting Oblivion ruin names) Pacific Morrowind
  5. the reason people work with blender is despite it's UI which makes windows 95 look like a startrek friendly OS is that it is VERY VERY powerful and can do almost anything you want... if you can figure out how any questions and I can help... I've learnt a LOT of blender in the last couple months Pacific Morrowind
  6. not at all to shoot you down... but Wrye Mash has install (BAIN which Wrye ported back to Mash, his earlier project for MW) and LO (basically like Bash). anyways good luck with whatever you do with this. Pacific Morrowind
  7. 3 eyed and green... hmmm.. TRIPOD... get the pitchforks etc. yes it is mainly only the really nice people from bethsoft that have come over here (okay can't actually think of any not nice but seeing as there are 510 registered and only around 30 regulars there may be some not so nice... hope not) Pacific Morrowind
  8. addiction!? what's that? I just enjoy this... I could stop cold turkey anytime therefor not addicted but I do really enjoy this site, much friendlier than beth or nexus, but still busy and happening and not all serious. Pacific Morrowind
  9. in that folder and then in .blender/scripts/ do you have nif_export.py and nif_import.py? if not run your blender_nif_scripts*.exe (can't make out the full name of your file there) and let it install according to default if it correctly detects your blender install and if not make it install to D:/blender248/ edit I don't know for certain that nifscripts will work with python 3.1 (v249 will work with 2.6, that's what I use), so if it still won't work try installing python 2.5 (seeing as you have blender 248) Pacific Morrowind
  10. that install *should* just work... there isn't any special things you should have to do however since it obviously isn't working you could try: reinstall blender (with setting in application dir rather than user app data dir) reinstall pyffi reinstall nifscripts restart computer test again... and really hope it works Pacific Morrowind
  11. I can't really join another team but I can do some short notice mesh/texture/scripts work if you need it. but yes I would like to hear more about it. Pacific Morrowind
  12. okay that should be easy to fix... I use blender all the time, using it right now infact what version of blender? (248 or 249 would be the right choice... 248 is python 2.5, 249 is python 2.6 if you care). Install/repair so as to have the settings in the blender directory for best nif exportation... sometimes can't find it otherwise. you will need python (2.6 or 2.5 depending on your blender version) if not installed install then install PYFFI version 2.0.0, if using python 2.6 you will need to manually install by extracting the exe (7zip will work) to a folder then command prompt there and type in "*pythonpath*/python.exe setup.py -install" replacing the *pythonpath* with the path to your python istallation, and no quotes ofcourse, if using python 2.5 just use the exe. then (finally) install the niftools nifscripts for blender (version 249 or 248 depending on your blender version) and now FINALLY you should be ready to export; just restart blender if it is open and it should be there... if not post again. Pacific Morrowind
  13. yes anyone who hasn't absolutely MUST read the His Dark Materials trilogy... awesome. I aggree with DarkRider, a lot of it is above little ones heads but most of it can be read out loud and just skip a few segments and when they're older they can read the whole thing. I would suggest the Bartimeaus Trilogy... one of the very few actually unique fantasy novels. Pacific Morrowind
  14. not using Bash! BOSS is fine to not use; only needed for non-experienced users and handy for really big LOs. but Bash is really really really good... resolves so many compatibility issues... so many uses... any questions and I'll be happy to answer them. Pacific Morrowind
  15. a real nice mod... downloading (shortly) got a few ideas for it: 1. make stacking require a minimum armourer skill... like 25 2. require you to have a repair hammer or ore or fur or something 3. chance that you break/use up a repair hammer or w/e Pacific Morrowind
  16. Good Luck with your move. I eagerly await your demo. Pacific Morrowind
  17. Thanks! that was a very interesting read. however unless I miss your intended meaning the "inhabitable" in the following should be "uninhabitatable"... lovely non-logical language that english is. I always wondered what the hist were. Pacific Morrowind
  18. that would be the MGE water reflections Pacific Morrowind
  19. Welcome I have a moderate amount of MW modding experience if you need any help; just post in the study hall and someone will be sure to answer soon. Pacific Morrwoind
  20. probably... Guess I'll have to figure that out sometime (on my list anyways) Also confirmation: the newest bash 268 is considered beta (especially since Wrye hasn't reveiwed all the changes I did) but it is VERY stable from my testing (and a few others have reported no problems (or problems that I fixed when I had it in to just a few users)). Pacific Morrowind
  21. If you have a default/suggested install location (not sure about outside of /oblivion/) I can give Bash a launcher button for this. That makes two programs that can remotely launch BOSS (I added that to Bash in the last update). Pacific Morrowind
  22. OUCH! Hope you didn't loose much in those minor files. meant to mention this earlier but you need to edit your profile; html code isn't working nicely... I think it needs to be changes to bbcode. Pacific Morrowind
  23. Welcome! Good to see a(nother) familiar face; Now I guess we're going to have to interest Hex in coming over here and posting UV here speaking of which you posting your mods here yet? there isn't true multifile support for each entry but you can fudge it... just send the optional files to "old versions" and give them nice names and say to download em from down there. Pacific Morrowind
  24. downloaded and there are a couple errors (one minor, one major); minor: it is really polite to have the esp and the meshes/textures/other folders that go in oblivion/data in one folder rather than having the meshes/textures in subfolder. major: no texture for the sword (haven't checked Ody's sword resource download but I would presume it was in there). I'll give it a playthrough some time soon Pacific Morrowind
  25. Try this I wrote it a while ago, it is for gmax which is very similar to 3ds max (basically a free and stripped down version), I have been meaning to update all my tutorials since I have learned a massive amount since writing them. but it should give you the instructions you need.
