Well, even science is proving that consciousness is not in the brain... The brain is a processor and control center for the physical form... The only way souls and spiritual forms can have a physical experience and truly affect this reality, we had to take on a body or vehicle that is bound by the laws and physics of this reality... This is why we say that we are 'having a human experience' we are actually way more than physical matter.

Consciousness is subjective. If you compare the brain to a computer, and consciousness to a program, it is simply just a bit of software with multiple functionalities like an operating system. We have billions of neural connections, and much in the same way as transistors, we can process input and give output.
