  1. Thanks for the "Blood is Everything" suggestion. I'll definitely try that one. Not exactly what i seek, but the two possible ways of being a vampire are there. More than what I've found myself so far. Maybe I'll try to tweak that one a bit to my liking... Time to dust off my Morrowind modding memories. StarX's overhaul seems to fix another vanilla game shortcoming - the generic dungeons, at least some of them. Finally having a vampire clan to join sounds great as well. Decisions, decisions... Ahem, do they work together? All the vampirism concepts for Oblivion seem to tie sunlight damage to NOT drinking blood, should be the exact opposite, I think. The less human (and more of a night creature) you become, the more the sun should damage you. By drinking human blood you reject human values of "good", thus the arguably highest one, life-giving sunlight, becomes deadly to you. You gain inhuman powers during the night, but the beauty of sunlight becomes forbidden to you. On the other hand, by not feeding you simply become weaker, makes some sense, but still... And vampirism in Tamriel isn't a curse, but disease - that can be another factor against my point of view. I just like mystical approach to such fantasy themes, instead of scientific one which is popular nowadays. I understand there needs to be some motivation to find victims to feed on, this just doesn't feel like the right one. Anyways, thanks for the replies!
  2. Hello everyone! I was searching through available vampire mods and haven't found any that would suit my tastes. They either add overpowered abilities, implement too much fancy stuff (often looks nice, but also prone to incompatibilities/bugs) or allow for a cheap vampirism on/off trigger. My idea is: After becoming a vampire, there would be a new questline that would allow you to embrace your new form in one of two ways. Either become a noble or feral vampire, depending on how you proceed during the quests. Noble vampire: Receive a slight penalty to stats during day, vampiric abilities, and retain normal human appearance, unless you drink blood. Drinking blood turns penalties into bonuses and enables some more powerful abilities. The downside is being hurt by sunlight and also being recognizable as a vampire. After some time of "no-blood diet" you become almost human again. Feral vampire (not sure about the name, but you get the idea...): Receive decent stat boosts and quite strong, mainly offensive powers. You also constantly regenerate health during night. Drinking blood provides even greater bonuses to your stats. You are always hurt by sunlight, if you regularly drink blood sunlight can kill you pretty fast. Without drinking blood you eventually die. You look like a vampire all the time. Some inspiration taken from Witcher books (Emiel Regis who ceased to drink blood and appears as a normal human to other people, sunlight doesn't hurt him) and Hellsing anime series (Victoria can survive sunlight without a problem since she rejects her vampirism and refuses to drink blood). Do you think something like this is possible without crapload of scripts that would conflict with every other mod out there? Or is there a similar mod that I've overlooked?
  3. Welcome to TESA!! :D
