  1. Working on a Aylied Themed Throne, not finished yet but heres a peek and thanks Red.
  2. Thanks, you wouldn't believe but those red glowing eyes are the flawless ruby mesh scaled up for the largest skull and boy it was tricky getting them to sit right.
  3. After learning some in's and out's in niftscopt decided to get some practice and make some ( hopefully ) useful furnature and clutter objects. Finished a throne, would suit a evil character.
  4. Quote No no, you're not a noob, I had to learn it too 2 years ago I think my explanation is bad...Here, take a look at this, it has pictures. It should be easier to understand http://cs.elderscrol..._Using_NifSkopeIt's a tutorial about armor but it works the same as every other mesh OMGS Thank you so much, the link worked I can follow the instructions, thanks so much for your help kudo's to you and a
  5. Quote 1. click on the first NiNode (should named 0 NiNode)2. go to block details, should be under block list, you will see the block details of the main ninode3. scroll down and you should see ''Children'' click on the arrow next to it to expand the list4. You should see all the numbers of the NiTriStrips or Nitrishapes there, above children you see ''Num Children''5. add 1 to it ''For example, if It's nine, double click on it and put in 10''6. Right click on the things that looks like a green recycle symbol and go to array and click update7. there should be an empty spot that says ''none'' at the children's list8. double click and fill in the number of the NiTriStrip or Nitrishape of the throne, It's the number in front of the branch9. SaveI hope this helped, I'm not that good at explaining things I see the children and I try to add the name of the meshes I use but they don't stay there as in when I click on the next to add the first disapears I got to instruction 3. now I'm stuck, please excuse my noobness I need more detailed instructions I fear.
  6. Umm, No, how do I do that? I'm new to niftscope transform editing, what menu do I bring up to do this please? I've not seen this option. Mind there are a ton of options.. Thanks for the help much apreciated
  7. Hi, was altering a furnature throne mesh amongst other meshes, my problem is, in niftscopt my Thone looks like this However in game my additions to the manker cameron throne don't show up. Don't know why but figure someone here might know. Any help is much apreciated, Thanks.
  8. Ok here's a couple of close up with my texture problem, now when I did make them I did resize the Obivion balcany wall texture much smaller and then copy pasted the smaller image into the various sized castle textures. ( Course just had to show my painting texture off thanks to the great tutorial ) I'm only a beginner of Gimp and the normal map settings I used were the same as the blanket tutorial had as apart from that tutorial I tried other settings and it was jam packed with much unwanted shine, hmmm putting the shine back into daedric metal perhaps? In any case I really need help with what settings to use and how artitectral textures are made and done etc. Thanks so much for the help.
  9. That's very odd, it should work. Then again, there's lots of things in computing that "should" work, but anyway...Just checking one thing: you are pressing the "scale" button at the bottom of the scale image dialogue, aren't you? I'm not trying to be clever, it's something that I somehow manage not to do myself on occasion so I thought it was worth checking.Bear in mind, however, that if your source image is under 1024x1024 there's no point scaling it up as that'll just add to the overall mushiness: my comment was based on the assumption that you had a nice big source image and you were downscaling it for your DDS, but I thought it was worth mentioning (I hope none of this is stuff you're already well familiar with, I'm afraid I've no idea of your Gimp skills... and mine aren't that amazing, FWIW). I did press the scale button and my source images are vanilla .dds oblivion ones. I guess my next question is, do I need to resave these images to .psd or png to resize the resolution?
  10. At the risk of sounding dumb, how does one change the image resolution in Gimp? I've tried Scale Image and it doesn't change it even after I saved.
  11. You've got to install both the .dds plugin and the normal map plugin. No other format will work.
  12. Thanks, will try that, had no idea that had to use a large resolution.
  13. Not sure, my theory was mostly founded by noticing that the divines and daedra mirror qualitys that are part of the mortal races, like us.
  14. Thanks for the great tutorial, works great! Was wondering, I did a retexture of the castle building blocks as a resource, your tutorials helped a lot, however, I am still having trouble with the walls they like fine from a distance but up close they are terribly blurred and not good. Any suggestions what settings I should use? Also, am also in the process of making a Crystal Castle Resource using the vanilla welked stone textures and altering them to fit the castle textures size wise, but, are having the same problem, look good from a distance but not up close. Any suggestions? Thanks so much, you guys rock for having so many tutorials and being so helpful.
  15. I wrote up my own view of the purpose in which the Divines and Daedra came into being and I'm wondering, how well it fits with the lore. The Princes & Divines Purpose The Princes and the Divines represent each and every aspect or quality of the mortal humaniod races. Dibella, love, Akatosh the mortal life life span of time, Meyrunes Dagon change ambition destruction paving the way for new creation. Each and every Prince represents a darker side to the qualitys and every divine represent the good in them. The world is held in perfect balance as by invading and war, the cycle of life, change, death and new creation is kept. It is a important but fragile balance and it must be preserved at all costs. Destruction is as wholely necessary as time and no one Prince Or Divine is more important than the other, for without what they each represent the world would fall into decay. Wars and invasions that bring about change and death and destroy empires and topple even the most powerful civilisations is as necessary to life as water and food. For if the world was wholely good it would stagnate and die, and if the world was wholely evil it was devour itself. It is hung is balance and the balance preserves all life. It has to be that to live others must die.
  16. Thanks very much for the warm replys. Well Whoguru, about my dremora mod, player starts with only the options to play as various dremora and in the heart of the Deadlands ( hence big enormous worldspace Tamrial duplication) at the main Fortress of DoomGuard spawned by Meyrunes Dagon in the spawning chamber, player then starts *training* in various schools a few quests each while taking on light dutys and then sent to Kvatch to guard . Meanwhile a side quest of every three days ingame a chance of being randomly summoned in various random situations some the player will have to try to escape other just a quick bloody fight. Gradually the player will up in rank and tasks become more difficult also the player will have freetime to just wander about doing as wanted. Trying to make as much immersion as I can. I've made some of the interiors etc, just needing to make the exteriors and various citys quests etc.
  17. Gorgeous kittens, if you can airmail to NZ I'd say send them but really I have a cute kitty too, she's white with one blue eye and one greeny yellow, It makes it easy to find her, Her names Diamond, and she's very affectionate and loving.
  18. Hi, have posted here before asking questions in the World building topic, in Real Life I'm coming on 36 am female last time I checked, seriously though came here to learn more of the cs and upgrade my cs skill which I still consider myself a novice at though I have released some mods and are part of The Underdark Team and also helping Vagrant's The Coloured Rooms Project placing clutter around and mostly making interiors and filling them with clutter. When I'm noot modding for both I'm busy with my 4 year son and my own personal project of playable dremora which is a lot of work for it's not just a race mod, itt aims one to view the main quest in the eyes of a Dremora. A huge undertaking but hey, don't we all have epic ideas of which we'll love to mod.? But anyways, Hi, it's good to be here and thank you for having me.
