  1. Thanx, Vometia...I did as you suggested(probably the only thing I hadn't tried). I copied all the race data to the esm. If I did it right it was a pain, if I did it wrong it was a pain. It worked but, all my characters wound up as duplicates and I had to change them over. Fortunately, I only had about 30/40 that I had to change...LOL. Anyway, thanx again for the help
  2. Friends and Neighbors...some time ago I made a custom race for my own amusement, and made it an esm. Lately I decided to change the body data and of course had to make the change via esp. The esm has no inherent race data, while the esp has specific race/body data. I have tried to esmify the esp, but it depends on the original master and if I remove it the whole thing disappears and I am left with the original master, the new race data is gone and all the characters revert to the original body data. Is there a way to move the race information from the esp to the esm, or make the esp the master (esm) and remove the dependency on the original esm. I really don't know if I have made my question clear. They both have the same name and both must be loaded for the for the new bodies to show in the game. Thanx in advance to anybody with the courage to wade through this question and try to help.
  3. To all and sundry...Had to reinstall, uninstall and then reinstall Oblivion. Reinstalled the CS, and reinstalled all body mods and textures. Still don't know what happened, but one of the three worked. To anybody having trouble uninstalling Oblivion, put your install disc in the drive, go to MY COMPUTER\your drive and explore. Find SETUP.exe and run it. It will reinstall Oblivion over your previous installation. You can then uninstall it. Found that out the hard way.
  4. Thanks y'all...was hoping to avoid that, but will give it a try.
  5. Friends, neighbors, boys and girls...I come before you with hat in hand to present a problem that is driving me crazy. A couple of days ago I discovered that npc's in my CS (ver 1.2.404) have no bodies if unclothed. If I delete their shoes and whatever else they are wearing the only thing left in the "full" preview picture is the head and hands. However in game everything is as it should be. Please, I pray you, give me some insight as to what may be causing this, before I pull what is left of my hair out.

    prefixes

I know this is probably an idiotic question that anybody with the slightest amount of scripting experience knows, but it warping my poor old senile brain. I have been looking over some in game scripts, and I see things like "bHasMetPC, sMymaxLevel, or my favorite blsCompanion. Can someone tell me what these "b's, s's and bls's are? I think I am getting to old for scripting, I just can't seem to wrap my head around it. This is a sad admission from some body who was an electronics tech for 35 yrs. And, incidentally my first computer was a Commodore Vic 20. I am offering my heartfelt thanks in advance for any and all help/information provided. I would like to be an optimist, but I doubt that it would work out.

    Howdy

Didn't know where else to put this, and this looked as likely a candidate as any, so here goes. Howdy one and all. I call myself trknman (oddly enough), because I am a retired truck driver. I joined your site today because I accidentally found your modding classes. To my old, bleary and jaundiced eye, it looks like a great ES website. I am looking forward to being a member.
