  1. It does seem like something that would be better suited in its own worldspace at least. I'd say the decision for a TC would have to come if you want the player to have their equipment or start over.
  2. SOunds cool! How spoilerful is it going to be for people who never got around to reading the books?
  3. Umm.. Hmm.. Most of my knowledge of Elsweyr comes from the mod. I know the Man is the leader of the country (Not a city), and Rimmen is some kind of a wood elf settlement. I've never heard of Torval, so I'll say A, Dune.
  4. You threw the poor thing out? But it's a house gecko!
  5. The guy on the Nexus says that they have no plans to make any money off the site, whether it be subscriptions or advertising. Dunno where it came from.
  6. If you look closely at the Daggerfall version you can see it in color... But the thing is tiny. I swear I've seen a ponytail like that somewhere. Maybe it's the blindfold hair.
  7. And a lot of people are going around spreading the word of this site... Bad PR. Someone on the RG forums said it perfectly. If they want to fix this, dump everything and start over. Waffling over it won't help anything.
  8. The guy who runs that site, Kreisher or something, showed up on the Nexus (Or at least a troll with the screenname, I'm being skeptical). Go read the thread again to see Dark0ne tearing dude a new one.

    So Beautiful

Usually when you do see the sky in the CS it's a blank blue thing anyways. Pretty colors...
  10. A new site is making the rounds doing this, GMod.com. You can read the Nexus thread about it here. The gist of it: They upload some popular mods without permission or anything, then take the credits etc. out of the ReadMe, then put up a little notice that says "We're looking for the author (They aren't). Click here to claim your account if you are!" Then according to some users, to claim your account you have to pay them money. Ugh. You can also read a thread on a different forum which features the CEO of the company trying to claim he got permission for everything.
  11. Vince told me in a PM conversation.. To copy-paste that..
  12. It's solved and working now! Thanks everyone!
  13. Sorry, I linked to the wrong file. The one that's linked now is the newer version.
  14. I've made a very large architectural (Made for an interior) piece, but it's got a problem. When I export it to a .nif it looks fine in NifSkope, but when I view it in the CS or in-game it disappears when the camera gets close to it. Possible causes: Normals: The meshes normals weren't properly flipped, but even after doing it it has this problem. Version: I started work on this model on Blender 2.58, without a .nif exporter installed. I then saved it as a .blend file and took it to a computer that's got 2.49b and I've been working on it there since. I'm not sure what causes this problem exactly, but I need to solve it soon before I can continue any work on the model. Here's the latest version of the model, cut down to a single section of it that still shows the problem. http://www.mediafire.com/?nzc011ck3wsq1fk Much appreciated if you can help!
  15. Huh. I'm trying to figure out now if it's worth trying to get them to pull my mods down. I might just list them as a mirror instead.
  16. What method do you use to make it more high-poly? It might prove useful for a few meshes I have.
  17. It looks like it's PlanetElderScrolls they're trawling for mods. They uploaded some of my mods (without permission) and both were from the site, and it was the same outdated version they got too. I sent them an email about it and asked them to update the files with the ones from the Nexus and add the proper credits to the resource authors, and they complied. Do they just ignore takedown requests?
  18. ..What's that reflection in the eye? Looks like.. A disco ball.
  19. What, anyone remember how ludicrously easy it was to mow down civilians on horseback in AC1? Now if only it didn't auto-kill you for it..
  20. I've found that if you're working on a flat surface and need a hole cut in it more rapidly, then you can instead delete the flat face, then make the outline of the hole you need, then make new faces around the hole. You get pretty much the same thing, but not nearly as much merging to get rid of unnecessary verts. Also: If your wire section of the hole (The circle bit sitting in the middle) isn't aligned quite right to the face you want the hole in, you can select the circle AND the corners of the surface and shrink them along the Z axis (S and hold down Z) to have them all at the same height, to avoid any uneven faces.
  21. Here's a traditional recipe from my family. Step 1: Locate a package of ramen noodles. Not that crappy 50 cent apiece store stuff, but prime 12 cent packets bought by the crate. 2: Open the packet, dump into bowl. 3. Eat raw. Delicious!
