  1. Hello! I searched the forum for similar threads and found none. Pardon me if I missed one though. This seems to be a problem affecting lots of people, yet no solution has been found. On my first heavily modded game, I starting having this problem very suddenly. Just over 200 hours, and the game started almost constantly crashing when I tried to save - like there was a 75-90% of it happening. Also, the saves would eventually start being corrupted. I remember holding my breath every time I saved. This was a while ago, and this is all from memory, so the facts may not be 100% correct. Now, I looked around the web at that time and tried to find an answer, but found none, only more people lost in the hopeless abyss of corrupted saves... (yes, that was incredibly cheesy.) I stopped playing for a few months or so. Now, I have a new character, with my wonderful face on it, lots of properly installed mods, beautiful graphics, beautiful companions, huge castles, and have just passed 150 hours. I turned off autosaves and quicksaves before starting this one, which I had realized were deadly, removed OCR and updated + properly configured Streamline and OSR. I thought myself safe... But no. Guess what started happening 20 minutes ago? Like 5-10 saves ago, (a few hours) I did the Mehrunes Razor quest, which ironically has a few automated autosaves... Just as if Beth was mocking us with their corrupted autosave system. Could these few autos ruin a save so much? It just came to my mind that I also had a few autos happen through a quest mod earlier on, but paid no attention to it then. I should also tell you that the last 5 saves (which crashed) didn't become corrupted, so they're still loadable, but the last one before coming here did. Yup. So now, I've decided to go to what I consider the brightest community of Oblivion modding and ask for help. I looked around a bit and only found - again - more questions. Take a look if you want to: Yes, one of the guys did solve it, but in my case I don't think I can avoid the autosaves, except for if I was to avoid the Mehrunes Razor DLC altogether. Also, I don't really think Streamline, OSR or OBSE would be culprits. But what do I know. TL;DR Summary: - 160 hours young character - (relatively) Stable game, 2-3 hours average playtime before CTDs - Heavily modded, a few mods under my limit (OOO + lots of "smaller" mods) - No autosaves except for the ones scripted in mods or DLC - No quicksaves, replaced by Streamsave + regular saves - Minor savegame bloat (9 null ref) - Crashing on saving, ~90% chance of happening, started happening 5 or so saves ago, last save is corrupted and unloadable Load order: (The "luddes armors n clothes" are my merged armor and clothes mods.) I could upload the last 3 saves, included the corrupted one, if it would help. Thanks in advance
